* A threat actor has posted what they claim is a database associated with https://t.co/ilj1ooLAlE, a subdomain linked to the University of South Africa (UNISA).

* According to the forum post:
* Target: https://t.co/ilj1ooLAlE
* Claimed leak date: 10 June 2026
* Advertised size: 21 KB
* Described as a "Tech Support DB"

* The threat actor claims the exposed data includes:
* Customer IDs
* Technician IDs
* First and last names
* Email addresses
* Phone numbers
* Passwords
* Street addresses
* City, state, postal code, and country information

* The post indicates the dataset is relatively small and "contains very few data," suggesting this may be a limited database rather than a large-scale institutional breach.

* At the time of publication, Daily Dark Web could not independently verify:
* The authenticity of the dataset
* Whether the database originated from UNISA systems
* Whether the records are current or historical
* Whether passwords are stored in plaintext, hashed, or encrypted
* Whether the data has been previously exposed

Analyst Note:

Although the advertised dataset appears small, the combination of contact details, address information, and password-related fields could still present a significant risk to affected individuals. Even limited datasets are frequently leveraged for phishing, credential-stuffing attacks, identity fraud, and further compromise of institutional accounts.

You don’t live a normal work life like your peers who have one. You can be employed and required to work 8 hours a day, but because it feels like you have nothing to fall back on, your 8-hour day quietly becomes 12. You end up compensating for knowledge you think everyone else got in varsity. You push yourself to prove you belong on the same level as the degree holders.

Some days it’s exhausting. But it also builds something in you that a certificate never could

I went looking for answers and found far more than I expected. In some cases, access to internal systems including the mail server, rates clearance, supplier database is being offered for as little as $100 per week.

This guy lied on his CV and got the job. Fake degree, fake experience, everything.
Months later HR found out and fired him immediately. He signed, packed up, and left quietly.
That same afternoon—the system crashed. Payroll, emails, everything down.

IT couldn’t fix it. Senior engineers tried. Nothing worked.
Then someone said it: only he ever understood that system.
HR called him. He picked up: “I don’t work there anymore.”

The system stayed down for hours… until they rehired him on a higher salary.
