@Argos_Online Thank you for the link to your Accessibility statement. It shows that Argos has worked on Accessibility. However currently as i have mentioned already, in my last two tweets, the app is currently broken for blind screen reader users. Please can you let the relevant person know
@Argos_Online I am blind and use the VoiceOver screen reader on the iPhone. It’s currently not possible to buy anything on the Argos app. I can navigate the search results, however when I tap on any of the search results nothing happens
@Argos_Online Please contact someone in the organisation who deals with digital accessibility. It’s not the catalogue number for one item, I can’t actually click on any of the items from the search results page. I’m using the VoiceOver accessibility setting on the iPhone.
@UberEats i’m blind and I use VoiceOver on the iPhone. Your app is wonderful however the help section is not working for VoiceOver users. I have noway to let you know that some of my items have not arrived. Please help i’ve got some screen recordings if that would help.
I’m blind and Someone stood on my cane, broke it, and walked off! So grateful for the wonderful people @TheO2 who were so supportive! They even did some handiwork by adding some splints to the cane and taped it up so I could still use it :)
@audiblesupport as well as being blind, helping organisations with digital accessibility is my day job. I’d be happy not to charge for my time on this occasion as audible is a lifeline to many blind people.
@audiblesupport the experience of being blind and using the audible app on the iPhone is becoming very challenging. Main issue is navigating the library and actually selecting a book to listen to. This experience has become very inconsistent and frustrating. Please help!
@audiblesupport Secondly, when I swipe through the list of books , and i tap to open a book, it doesn’t consistently open the book. Either does nothing or opens the wrong book😿
@audiblesupport Using VoiceOver screen reader, when I swipe to the right, it reads out my book titles. However, when I swipe to the left, it doesn’t take me through the book titles in reverse order, but it throws me into a menu option.
@Uber_Support The Help and support section in the Uber app is not working for someone blind using VoiceOver screen reader at the moment. I urgently need to contact my driver as I left my AirPods in his car yesterday. Please help.
@Uber can you please let me know where I can report accessibility problems with your app. I’m blind, I love Uber, however, the accessibility is breaking a little. As a result I couldn’t change the destination of my taxi today and ended up having to walk in the rain at night
@Uber_Support Thanks for your response. Is there an email address, such as [email protected], on which a disabled person can let you know when they are having an accessibility problem with the app? This would make the process of flagging issues so much easier.
@Withings please, for the love of weight loss, make your scale app accessible to blind people! You may not be aware, the experience for blind people navigating the app using VoiceOver is frustrating and prevents us from accessing simple information easily such as our weight.
@AskWithings@Withings Thanks for the quick response. As a blind person, I can order a taxi on the Uber app and do my grocery shopping on the Tesco app. so why can’t I check my weight on the Withings app? It’s the business Which decides whether to include blind people. Developers will follow.
Great quality food @goustoCooking But parts of your app are broken for blind screenReader users. E.g. can’t get passed step 2 in the cooking process! The app keeps jumping me back to step 1. There's only so many times I can dice the same onion! #DigitalAccessibility
@goustocooking I am blind and I have a setting on my iPhone called VoiceOver which reads the screen to me. Gousto app is actually more accessible than competitors but some parts don't work with VoiceOver so I then need to ask other people to help me cook! Happy to answer any further questions.
@goustocooking Hi Paul thanks for your quick response! If its ok can we stick to open communication for the moment as DM usually leads the the issue being dropped.
