"mostly gas" is a pretty good thing. More likely to get to tidewater, not as vulnerable to replacement by renewables, a major source for rail-transportable liquids like propane, it has a better long-term outlook than oil.
Good morning to all friends that know where the ๐จ๐ฆ Canadian 170 Billion barrels of recoverable oil is locatedโฆand yes relatively almost no oil in BC, mostly gasโฆ๐ซก๐ช
@NoJetsTO An equally good ask would be for the feds to agree to prioritize and partly fund extending the Crosstown and possibly Line 6 to PEARSON - another positive ask that would happen to undermine Ford's BB wet dream.
@MAAWLAW This, like the 51st state thing, just won't go away even though it seems mainly a fever dream of the foreign state/region talking about it. I don't understand how an EU of 40 states could function when the 28-country version barely can.
@EScrimshaw Also, in the Carney era where the government is polling 50% of the electorate, she's clearly struggling to retain her relevance as a commentator.
Althia is trying to defend a form of governance - call it Progressive Liberalism, Bleeding Heart Liberalism, whatever - and hold Carney to the standards of the Trudeau era
We can like (or, in my case, significantly dislike) that brand of politics but itโs well within her rights
@chrisglover@NoJetsTO What support? You have an interesting way with words. โAn interesting ideaโ is hardly full throated support, but was always an evasion to me. In politics, you sometimes use weasel words to avoid taking a definitive stand. The Feds want this idea to die a natural death.
@RickAnderson This feels like a columnist trying to retain relevance. The only time Liberals are antsy is when they are 20 points down in the polls, not up 15 points.
@rupasubramanya Given the polls, I wonder if this is the columnist trying to take modest sentiment and trying to portray it as an uprising. When a party has 50% of the electorate supporting it, I can't imagine backbenchers being rebels with a cause,
@TheTorontoSun So an export industry is created. Are you trying to speak on behalf of the US baby formula oligopoly? This Royal Milk baby formula also is sold to Canadians under the Niuriss brand. You can order it online or buy it at some stores.
