Third time through was too much today. Still, 4.1 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 8 K, 21.6% whiff rate (8 on 37 swings) against this lineup is noteworthy.
Averaged 94.4 mph on FB, down 1.7 from 2025 but was RP then. Touched 96, threw his second-fastest (95.9) on his 73rd pitch. 🧐
It’s cold at Citi, only 3 IP so far, and we gotta see if he can hold his velo/effectiveness all the way through the lineup a second time (to say nothing of longer), but Mlodzinski looks pretty dang good against a tough Mets lineup.
@IAmRickGraham Counterpoint: most projections had him just over 130 IP. Some level of uncertainty/six-man-rotation babying was baked in to those. Unless you were counting on 160+ IP, he could still easily make good on the projected volume, assuming Dodgers start him regularly after a few weeks.
My #TGFBI draft board.
I was able to get a lot of guys I was targeting and appreciated being at the turn more than usual.
Feeling good about pitching ceiling and floor. Took Abreu before the Hader news.
Spread SB out among several guys rather than relying on one big speedster.
My first year participating in Tout. Auction yesterday was a lot of fun, and I appreciated the opportunity to commune with my fellow writers, analysts, and podcasters over the weekend. Team commentary to follow.
