A select few people here know this, I haven't had the strength to write. On August 1st at 0214am, my wife, Eva, myself, and our 20 year old partner Vitalina were responding to a mass casualty event from a russian missile strike. As we arrived, the animals hit our location with a second Iskander missile. It landed a few meters behind our vehicle.

Eva and Vitalina did not survive. I have been in rehabilitation from a skull fracture, major ear damage, and burns for the past month. Physically I am healing well, emotionally I am destroyed.

A lot of new chatter going around recycling old claims that Musk 'hacked the 2024' election for Trump. These narratives, which have been investigated, serve now to undermine confidence in the 2026 elections.

While there is no doubt Musk is a national security threat, no one has pointed to a credible mechanism through which he could have manipulated the election machinery in 2024.

He obviously was doing a lot to manipulate the information space, and hack people's minds. But that's a cognitive security threat, not an election security threat.

The fact is that American elections are decentralized and widely distributed. The attack surface is massive. Changing outcomes in any meaningful way is simply not possible at this point. About 99.5% of the country is now using paper ballots. The tabulators (which many presume are the attack surface) are not online in any way that is subject to a centralized attack strategy.

Yes, Musk bragged about 'lasers in space' or 'anomalies in the matrix,' but he says all manner of idiotic things and is also a drug addict who believes we live in a simulation.

The difference between the reality-based community and conspiracy nut jobs is evidence-based reporting and analysis. There is no evidence outside of such chatter that such manipulation of the election machinery is or was possible.

Conspiracy communities that sprung up around such hand-waving have fallen apart due to lack of evidence.

The fact is that American elections are sufficiently secure. The information space is not. Protect your minds from speculative nonsense, and watch for efforts to shape the information sphere using AI and data stolen via DOGE.

That's the threat vector for 2026.
