If you’re still around RSNA, come join me at 11am for the peds session in N229 today. I’ll be sharing ideas about how to start a sustainability practice at your own hospital. #RSNA23 @SocPedRad #climateaction
Would love to see intersection with #AI folks regarding not only the significant energy expenditures required for the impending exponential deployment of AI in radiology (see recent Microsoft want ads) but also assistance in sustainability issues otherwise. @ReedOmary#rsna24
Thanks to @Emil_LeeMD for raising this important opportunity for #ClimateAction at #RSNA23.
If we all ask @rsna for more sessions next year, then we can collectively accelerate radiology's Green Transition thru discovery, learning, & sharing.
“There is a profound connection between the way we are harming and exploiting one another, and the way we are harming and exploiting the Earth” -Zen and the Art of Saving the Planet @sistertrueD@TNHFound
“There’s a direct association between machismo and the refusal to recognize and respond appropriately to the climate catastrophe … and therefore caring and acting for the collective good is their antithesis.” https://t.co/ItuEUidY9c
Well, let’s just say that I’ve had better trips. Thanks to everyone who reached out and/or sent positive vibes. Feeling a bit better, heading home. #RSNA22@CincyKidsRad
The first talk from @vinialvesMD details the characterization of steatosis in patients status post total pancreatectomy with islet cell autotransplantation #RSNA22
During this morning’s outstanding Best Head and Neck Cases session at #RSNA22, the interlude music did not stop playing once outstanding educator @WmOBrienDO started his lecture (at least in virtual world)…I was really disappointed that Bill didn’t start dancing.
@AmyMehollinRay I really like this idea. But the bottle is too small. Also, who are we kidding? In a real emergency, this bottle is coming with me. #RSNA22
Day 2 of #RSNA22 isolation in Chicago…I’m starting to see details of the hotel room I would not have normally noticed…what is this, and for what emergency was it intended? I’m guessing it once held a fire extinguisher, but could we repurpose it? Suggestions are welcome.
Brought plenty of “going out” and “working out” clothes to #RSNA22…did not bring nearly enough “i’m out” loungewear for hotel room isolation status post COVID+ test on day 1 afternoon. Grateful for virtual option (and World Cup)! @CincyKidsRad
Discovering @onbeing with @kristatippett on @NPR Sunday mornings has been one of the best happenstances of my post call drives home in the last two years. This quote by @adriennemaree on Octavia Butler really connects. Along with her comments on nature, death, and possibility.
I concur with @therealjonadill. Too many adult imagers & clinicians don’t think this is important. But when you’ve seen bad terminology —> mismanagement of pediatric disease —> lifelong complications, you realize it does matter. #pedsrad#issva@SocPedRad
Folks still calling venous malformations "HEMANGIOMA"... how do we stop this madness? 😥
Remember, our words have meaning and direct patient care!
