This started as a prototype we built back in March 2024 which we called ‘Neural Google’. The core idea: wrap Gemini around Google and let it do the searching for you.
Quality of life stuff-
1. Consistency in thread history across devices/surfaces/modes (thinking, canvas, etc) for a given product.
2. Clearer thread categorization -- Separation of trivial navigation requests (on Android auto for ex) from the regular conversations had in Gemini.
Ok, back to shipping. What do you want to see from GDM in the next couple of months?
(Gemini, Nano Banana, AI Studio, Gemma, Veo, and other AI dev products)
@PremiseHealth why is it not possible to get my X-ray images emailed to me? However, waiting 15mins for a CD is ideal and recommended. Why? We're in 2025.
Huge computer science result:
A Tsinghua professor JUST discovered the fastest shortest path algorithm for graphs in 40yrs.
This improves on Turing award winner Tarjan’s O(m + nlogn) with Dijkstra’s, something every Computer Science student learns in college.
And then I get an answer few days later that apparently there was a transaction long ago of $43 that my CC company deemed fraudulent for some reason. OK sure, that's understandable...

After nothing else to do, ended up booking it from my wife's account and all good. At this point, we've spent 5h to rent 1 car and needed to go through 3 "confirmed bookings".

Went to the 2nd location with a "confirmed booking". Uber costed another 50 euros. Guess what, same story, no answers. So far, we've lost 100 euros for uber and 200 euros for the booking change, no car yet.

Excited to share Aryabhatta 1.0, our leading model that scores 90.2% on JEE Mains, outperforming frontier models like o4 mini and Gemini Flash 2.5
Trained by us at @AthenaAgentRL , in collaboration with @physics__wallah, using custom RLVR training on 130K+ curated JEE problems
7B parameters and 4K context is all you need to crack JEE
Also, you don’t need to blindly follow GRPO. Custom objective functions make a huge difference

💯 agreed. Test cricket at its best nevertheless.
To add, @benstokes38 is not overrated and @imjadeja is underrated. Also don't let them convince you otherwise.
India seriously has a big f***ing talent problem. We got around 1000 applications for a backend engineering role in just the last 2-3 days, and guess how many were actually decent? < 5.
We asked for a basic, simple coding task. The submissions? Mostly absolute trash.
AI-generated crap everywhere. But that's ok.
Code that doesn't even run.
F*ck Running Code, libraries needed for the code to work are even missing.
Honestly, forget high standards; is it too much to ask for code that actually compiles?
Some of you might argue, "Oh, but hiring tasks are unfair, candidates’ time matters too." Here's our process straightforward:
1. Simple coding task
2. CEO call (15 mins)
3. CTO call (45 mins)
4. Paid one-day trial with the team
Offer. Done.
We aren't Big Tech, dragging you through months of interview hell just to reject you. Our hiring is quick, simple, and respects your time.
And let's get real, we pay a damn good ₹50 Lakh base salary plus relocation, food, and the chance to work with some of the best talent out there. So yes, at this pay scale, expecting code that actually runs is justified.
I am confused, Am I the only one facing all this or this is becoming the new normal in hiring nowadays?
