@leighaltman We want to say Thank You. The @MeckCounty Commissioners standing with the community against the I-77 toll project shows that Y’all are true leaders. We also thank @CLTCityCouncil members Johnson, Watlington Mayfield & Mazuera-Arias for their courageous votes for us
I’m hoping @JoeBrunoWSOC9 can look into claim that @NCDOT is replacing bridges as part of the I-77 South Toll project as a community benefit? We believe The state isn’t “giving” us new bridges. They have to rebuild them because toll lanes physically won’t fit under the old ones?
Between @CMPD@clt_alliance & @CLTgov . CLT’s going to move from Queen City to being the Curfew City. But it’s for your safety. 17 years can’t be outside after 9pm even though they are over the age of consent. Food trucks can’t be open passed midnight. Stop & Frisk coming soon.
We are hoping to get answers from @CMPD about the allegations that officer’s shot the man in the back. We hope that Chief Patterson will make additional comments & are weighing if there is a need to request all officers body cam video under the compelling public interest clause.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is responding to an officer-involved shooting Friday afternoon along Lasalle Street and Newland Road in north Charlotte. https://t.co/7KVpL3vWJ8
@CLTdevelopment They’ll reward the same consultants they paid that $70 mil with another $70 mil & promise West Charlotte Leaders the same benefits they didn’t receive the last time they were conned into believing the business community was going to provide them some “Racial Equity benefits.”😂
To reiterate our 1% Sales Transportation Sales Tax opposition. The Tax is going to cost low income families more money for a transit plan that won’t cover the promises. Microtransit won’t scale up & Silver Line will not be built. Watch, I mean-Pay & See. https://t.co/jmjn7TmAix
Can @NCDOT really help fund a grocery store & Rec Center as part of Community Benefits Agreement for I-77 Toll Lanes? More groups are saying No & we hope @CLTCityCouncil is listening.
Medicaid and Medicare have shown us that our government can make health care more affordable for over 61 years.
We need to build on that progress. Not tear it down.
That means protecting coverage and taking on the corporate price gouging driving up the cost of care.
@HCAN
Which @CLTCityCouncil member that supported pulling council support for the I-77 project do you think the business community will target to convince to be absent for a revote on I-77 ?

CM Watlington is LEADING, not following. Ask Governor Stein to do the same. Standing for the people should not be a unilateral decision.
Call Josh Stein’s office & tell him to join Charlotte in demanding an end to this Highway Robbery. (919) 814-2000.

We haven't heard from @JoshStein_ , but the Transportation Secretary is expected at Ron Leeper (601 Morris St., 28202) tomorrow at 8 a.m. Peacefully bring signs urging Gov. Stein to direct @NCDOT to support CRTPO's vote to rescind the I-77 project. #ncpol
