Set up by residents of Ferndale Road to make representations to Lambeth to reverse the damage that has been done by their rushed introduction of the FerndaleLTN
Sustrans Scottish funding - a thread:
According to Sustrans’ accounts, it received £115m in grants from Transport Scotland in the last 3 financial years.
According to Scot Gov, it awarded Sustrans £179m in 2.5 years to Oct 2020.
Just the £63m difference then. Why?

This fact can’t be hidden. We all know it -we live here and we experience it. This FOI proves it. Locally people are constantly talking about it. Delivery drivers comment on it. Nurseries and schools suffer it. Children walking to school inhale it. IT is a fact. @AirCroxted
@JimDicksLambeth @lambeth_council@dannyadilypour The reality of Railton Rd at the moment Just miserable - rubbish, graffiti. Planters used as rubbish bins & urinals. Been like this for months. Disabled people struggling with barriers. Traffic incl HGVs displaced onto boundary roads
Ferndale Road - 1 way in/out and essential works creates gridlock but don’t worry that motorcycle delivery will still get through by using the pavement #LoveMyLTN
Ferndale LTN - gridlock from essential works - 1 way in/out - what happens if emergency services needed here - they’re not getting through - @lambeth_council putting residents at risk
@AdamRizoNegro @Eeernie1@OneLambeth_Just @CllrTimBriggs @MisterKMT@InvaderzDJ @Lowesm @dannyadilypour And what oversized cars are you seeing in that clip? The multiple vans delivering? This is the only route in and out for over 1,000 residences. The people on bikes use the pavement. What are pedestrians meant to use? Want to be a resident here? We don’t!
Remember when the Government said they couldn’t intervene with problem LTNs as they were local matters? Now the government are withdrawing funding for councils which remove problem LTNs. Total coercion by Gilligan.
I saw a man pressure-washing the private pathways of a plush London apartment block today, washing all the dirt and rubbish onto the public path. And that’s exactly how LTNs work - push all your crap onto someone else to deal with so your streets are lovely and clean. Tidy.
SIXTEEN (yep 16) of my local councillors live in LTNs they themselves imposed. It could be more.
They benefit from traffic free enclaves- keeping their cars to use and pollute on other peoples’ roads of course. Poorer people usually.
This is just corruption plain and simple.
@peterwalker99 Perhaps they've noticed the LTN studies are by the same people, referencing their own work, funded by those looking for results that support LTNs and presented as evidence by LTN friendly journalists. You guys aren't corrupt, there's no conspiracy, you just play the game well. 🤷🏾♂️
