Academic governance wonk, but this is my personal Twitter account; any views are my own (at best). For work stuff see @senate_ubc. RT are most likely misclicks.
Hey @GlobalBC@globalnews do you have any idea what bad taste it is to click on your story on the explosion at @BowinnMa constituency office only to be greeted with an ad for @PlutoTV "feel the explosive action"?? Have some sensitivity with your ad algorithms.
@JEVLloyd I feel like the policy failure isn't in zoning but rather than that we've allowed the elevator repair industry to become a protectionist guild
Just to be clear I will donate and vote for any political party that will fix that stupid environment Canada rule that made Vancouver's road markings invisible when it's wet or dark.
@DrKarenPinder That is in fact what they do if you press the issue with them. But apparently you also get on some sort of list for being an cooperative/noncompliant patient
@DrKarenPinder Inconveniencing tens of thousands of people is considered worth it rather than letting somebody accidentally stumble in front of a car on 10th Ave. The question is by worth it do they mean the pain for the person's family or the inconvenience for the hospital administrators.
@GERONursing@adriandix I'm not sure, I had an ultrasound two weeks ago at UBC Hospital and they got the results within a day but I'm not sure if that's normal, normal for UBCH, or normal because I'm medically interesting.
