@CFBChuckk He’s one of the greatest HS triple jumpers of all time and World Junior Silver medalist. Also is coming back from a major knee surgery, why he missed competing so it seems he’s doing the best thing for him. Doesn’t seem like a “workaround” when he’s one of the best in both sports
@BodieWeeBey I had Shipleys in Hoover, AL and it was quite good but they have to keep those two local. Buc-ees and whataburger isn’t what it used to be
@RGIII@Tier1athlete We need to stop saying these sports lose money; they cost money. Does the library and the campus rec lose money? They are an investment in the student-athlete experience. Sports like track and tennis aren’t given a real chance by the school to generate revenue
@I_Coach_Speed@TexasTrackDad@KingRedrick I agree. I don’t know many top athletes in the ncaa rn that didn’t compete in summer track of their senior year. Taking off a summer does not guarantee you will adjust to the work load and academics. Bad thing to go into freshman fall out of shape
The 44 Farms Team Invitational
A college PB (7.72m -0.6) after being out for almost 2 years, 2nd overall and jumped further than the defending natty champ
Most importantly, my mom saw me compete and I made her really really proud 🥲🥺
I get asked about college recruiting for sports A LOT.
The best thing you can do isn't pay for a service. It's send a simple e-mail to the coach that includes:
Name, School, Year...
Best performances and where they took place.
Academics: Class rank/Test scores.
Coaches names and contact
Any links to videos of your competitions
And if you have it, any positive connection to the school/team (i.e. former HS teammate on the team)
That's it. Don't make it incredibly long. Don't send your life story. State that you are interested in the school and program for X or Y reason and then outline all the key info.
@mr100kaday@TheErinBrown Dude you need to seriously hush, lol made no teams and he’s literally in a USA jersey right here. go on his world athletics profile and scroll… one of the greatest hs t&f athletes ever and multi-time ncaa champ 😪
