@CatherineQanik @ShabanaMahmood @CllrMumtaz @BrumLibraryZine @BrumLibraries Thank you for fighting for libraries (and thank you also for your books, which are wonderful!)

I’m so sad about Graham Thorpe. Probably my favourite ever cricketer. This is a lovely tribute from Athers ❤️

"He was a fierce and unflinching competitor" 💭

Michael Atherton remembers his former team-mate Graham Thorpe ❤️

@thefulltoss While I agree with you, let’s not forget that England haven’t won a Test series in the Caribbean since 2004. And lots of teams get hammered away from home at the moment. 100% agree about the franchise point though.

I will never get over how bad the Hundred graphics are.

I love this man

Look at what it means to Gareth Southgate

@JohnRileyPoway @Kenseiden @BradleyWhitford Perhaps a better way to think of this - instead of choosing which option you prefer, everyone votes and then the flight attendant brings the same meal to everyone. You can ask for a hamburger, but you’ll be eating whatever everyone else decides. Surely better to vote chicken?

@Anna_Mazz @GuernseyLitFest @ScribblerJB @jojo_durrant Sorry I missed you, Anna, but glad you enjoyed the Festival. Come back soon!

I’m looking forward to hosting this event with Mike Brearley at the @GuernseyLitFest this Friday. A cricketing legend and a fascinating career in other fields too. Still a few tickets left.

[Guernsey Lit Fest @GuernseyLitFest]

With wide-ranging meditations on sport, philosophy, literature, psychoanalysis, music and more, Mike candidly examines the various shifts, conflicts and triumphs of his extraordinary life and career, both on and off the field.

@ClacaEuropa @dramallama75 Or how about, if you’re not able to exist in a space where there might be children, don’t get on a plane. Consider a different form of transport.

Always makes me chuckle to see Jimmy Stewart playing a teenager at the beginning of It’s A Wonderful Life

[Adam Bayfield @adambayfield12]

@girlyswotspider @Steven_Swinford Who are a great deal cleverer than he is

[Adam Bayfield @adambayfield12]

@Anna_Mazz I’ve loved all your books!

A little story for a wet Friday night. Near my house I found a wallet in the road. When opening it I found a bank card, some cash, a library and a youth club card. And also a front door key. The person who dropped it is 14 and could be locked out so I set out to find him….1/6

Andy Clarke was onside when he scored at Newcastle in August 1996 and had the goal been allowed, we’d have levelled the score at 1-1.

Replay please. Anyone got Oyvind Leonhardsen’s number? #AFCW

[Adam Bayfield @adambayfield12]

Very depressing.

[Adam Collins @collinsadam]

Sorting the schedule and selling the tickets five minutes before the comp has worked out well. #CWC2023

@OverTheBackGolf @HLTCO Golf might be my least favorite sport, and the Ryder Cup is my favourite sporting event

[Adam Bayfield @adambayfield12]

@caphe_sua_da Not yet! I’m worried it might be too much for me.

The dance mode episode of Bluey is the best 5 minutes of TV ever made.
