In doing apologetics I often find myself drawn back to this Schaeffer quote. The goal is not to "win." That leads to ugliness.

The goal Christ gives us is to serve, repair, bless, equip. We must contend for the gospel in a way that is consistent with the gospel itself.

I've never seen this reflected in TV and film depicting Jesus, but I suspect he had the most uninhibited, unrestrained laugh of anyone. Tears, too. But uproarious laughter.
