This is the end of "pics or it didn't happen." Of photos revealing Chinese military brutality in Tiananmen Square or US military torture @ Abu Ghraib. Of amateur video exposing police brutality against people of color. Tech gone wrong. #Pixel9#GooglePixel

Best take on Blade Runner I've ever encountered. I'm embarrassed to say that this is an angle I hadn't considered before. It brought the movie back to life for me as both an excellent piece of noir science fiction and, now, as a sly antiracist polemic. https://t.co/SqilGL5tmg
As much as I dislike Trump (and think the 14th Amendment clause in question *should* apply to the President), let's not throw out rule of law to hastily block a bad politician.
This article spends a lot of time on interpretation of the 14th Amendment, but never mentions a key point: Trump hasn't yet been found guilty of involvement in the Jan 6 insurrection. (Read this *short* thread before you reply with a flaming freakout.)

"Innocent until proven guilty" is a core concept of equal justice under law. That in turn is a cornerstone of the rule of law, the idea that laws apply equally to the rich & powerful like anyone else.
Most folks here probably already know that https://t.co/hUhBTahJCO is Twitter's URL shortener. But tell your less tech savvy friends and fam — if you get a text like this, ignore it. Teach them how to do a whois lookup for suspect links & what *makes* a link sus. #scam#phishing
My new hobby: finding public domain images that Getty sells for $500, locating hi-rez scans of their original publications, cropping and cleaning them up, adding metadata, and uploading them to Wikimedia Commons.

Snapped a photo of my cat this evening and somehow ended up thinking of @matthewmercer and #CriticalRole (credit for "Meow do you want to do this?" goes to my wife, @liz_ad_astra)
@Baberscabones I found this while looking for Eshpurta maps for a small campaign of my own. It's fantastic! Did you use the free or paid version of Inkarnate for this?
The way @Wizards & @Hasbro have acted lately reminded me of the Goya painting Saturn Devouring His Son, but more people will definitely get this meme. #OpenDnD
A client informed me that he will no longer pay me to write content for his website because A.I. can write it for free, but he wants to pay me a fraction of my usual rate to "rewrite it" in different words so it can pass Google's A.I. detection screening.
The other alternatives Oxford has for vote are "metaverse" — Zuk and other billionaires' half-assed VR monetization schemes — and "IStandWith," which is a hashtag prefix that's meaningless on its own. You know what you have to do. 🧌 #IStandWithGoblinMode

Please, *someone* hack this robot telescope to say a sing-song "are you still there?" as it tracks astronomical objects across the sky. And "nap time" when the battery runs low.

I've been running headlines thru AI art generators. This time it's "Al Creating 'Art' Is An Ethical And Copyright Nightmare" in the style of a 1950s horror movie poster. The contenders: #Craiyon (née Dall-E Mini), #MidJourney, and #StableDiffusion. Which captured it best?
