Pharmacy First is expanding in England.
From this autumn, participating pharmacies will be able to assess and treat five more conditions:
• Migraines
• Acne
• Scabies
• Ear infections in adults
• Rhinitis
This means they will be able to prescribe treatment directly, without people needing to see a GP first.
Pharmacy First has provided 14 million consultations since launching in 2024. The NHS expects the expansion to provide another 2–3 million consultations each year.

@morphine_band Saw the Buena video on MTV's 120 Minutes, 2 string bass line grabbed me and bought the album in Aberdeen a couple of days later. Still a big fan all these years later!
@Smyth_Chris I feel such a twat. All my life I've misunderstood "maintain the status quo" and it took Keir to realise it's actually "making hard choices".
@Peston@BorisJohnson He doesn't give two hoots how daft he looks - he's betting no one will be able to disprove ridiculous notion that he thought it was a work event, so gets off scot-free again while everyone on the invite email takes the hit for him.
