@thaironius@jjacobs22@danprimack some fun philosophical questions and chatter on that topic. Hereβs an example. Snow days forever! :) https://t.co/L7nUUz8Ygp
For PMs interested in the IoT space with a mission-driven company focusing on clean water, check out @VarunaIoT! https://t.co/ljCZnper6B. Position is remote, but they have folks in Chicago and Austin. Ping @SeyiFabo if you're interested!
Todayβs post is sadly timely basically every day now. Anyone sharing info for a public, post-layoff spreadsheet? Please share. https://t.co/sNBL5RwC0S

Recruiting in SF? Tons of Bay Area talent now available -- thanks to all who have been sharing the newsletter and recruiting local people affected by layoffs
16 #layoffs spreadsheets and the release of our Resource Kit and Slack Group. Our "Defenders of the Downsized" newsletter came out today!

@matsonj @kan_academy Interesting! It makes sense to see a spike in layoff-relief efforts in downturns. But layoffs happen in all economies, so the question is: how to help job-seekers before, during, and after downturns? And how to offer more than job-search/staffing services? @LayoffAid is trying :)
@sulemanali I like @LayoffAid for layoffs, but I am partial. No other channel does a good job at communicating such valuable signal. And I like that many other people have started trying π―
@juliadewahl Sorry to hear and thanks for sharing. Weβll get this in to our next Defenders of the Downsized newsletter to help get this in front of the right SF people. More info at https://t.co/kC4sQyQqcB
@kan_academy Maybe itβs just the underlying value of a laser-focused solution for the post-layoff job-seeker becoming more evident in such a choppy market? Tough times π
@bbalfour@LayoffAid Hereβs a blog post on the various types of downsizes: https://t.co/AnSwLWjIF1
Happy to chat further. Been a while since Boston, would be good to reconnect here in SF, even if virtually.
@bbalfour@LayoffAid Marketing represents such a broad spectrum. Marketing or otherwise, more technical roles seem slightly more resilient. But there is no difference when the axe is affecting entire departments / teams π
