À l’occasion du Jour de la Terre, nous soulignons une initiative concrète en matière de développement durable au CUSM. Un projet pilote de circuits respiratoires réutilisables a été déployé pendant plusieurs semaines dans les blocs opératoires des différentes installations du CUSM.

Selon l’inhalothérapeute et coordonnatrice technique au bloc opératoire de l’Hôpital Royal-Victoria, Stéphanie Hébert, il est possible d’économiser jusqu’à 4500 circuits par an, grâce au modèle réutilisable. 🌎 It’s Earth Day!

In celebration of Earth Day, we’re highlighting a meaningful sustainability initiative at the MUHC. A pilot project involving reusable respiratory circuits was implemented over several weeks in the operating rooms of various MUHC facilities.

According to Stéphanie Hébert, respiratory therapist and technical coordinator in the operating room at the Royal Victoria Hospital, it is possible to save up to 4,500 circuits per year thanks to the reusable model. This initiative adds to the many actions already underway to make our care practices more sustainable, helping to improve patient health by reducing environmental impacts.
