Kids in LA's halls have been forced to urinate in their cells for *decades* - this continues today in Los Padrinos despite @LACountyBOS pouring $118m into upgrading this hall. Fresh paint, new layouts, updated furniture did not protect the kids inside. #AB695 wont either.

LA County Probation is seriously patting themselves on the back and celebrating a made up “Probation & Parole Supervision Week” which is kind of ridiculous, here’s a 🧵 for why!

.@LACProbation juvenile budget is $408 million to incarcerate the fewest number of youth in recent history. Nearly 400 youth are currently incarcerated in LAC, which amounts to >$1 million per youth. Probation is getting paid more to do worse. #PPPSWeek #EndProbation
