Misdirected Anger Movement is wasting R600 million in taxpayer money for their vigilante imposed deadline of #30june. Myself and @ElonsTipsyAunty#wontbemarching Here's what we will be doing: continuing with activism to fix access to water and services.
We reject xenophobia.
Every person deserves dignity, respect and safety, regardless of where they come from. South Africa knows the pain of discrimination and should never turn it on others.
Choose compassion over fear, unity over division, and humanity over hatred.

Imagine blaming your broke neighbour while billionaires drain the pot dry. Aim at the yachts, not next door. 🟥Tell your government to tax the rich https://t.co/xh4EsRkKlX 🟥
We cannot allow our voices to be silenced and our humanity to be stripped. Because if we stand against Africans on #30June, it's not just their humanity that hangs in the balance. It's ours too.
The Global Freedom Flotilla crew is chanting “Free, free Palestine!” as Israeli military ships move to KIDNAP them in international waters.
Their ‘crime’?
Bringing baby formula to the starving children of Gaza.
2nd, principle must always be applied consistently. The document is explicitly clear in its condemnation of Hamas’ actions on October 7, but says Israel cannot use these actions to justify indiscriminate attacks on civilians. Children, Israeli or Palestinian, must be protected!
These lessons are necessary for successful political outcomes in Palestine and elsewhere. Too often they are not sufficiently appreciated by activists themselves. These are lessons worth heeding if successful political outcomes are desired and is to be realised.
3rd, when these principles are violated, call it out even when it is inconvenient and does not accord with the dominant consensus. The Western world was inconsistent & hypocritical on this conflict and has been called out even at the threat of relations being strained.
Those interested in progressive outcomes would do well to heed 3 lessons encoded in SA’s application to the ICJ. 1st, combine principle with pragmatism. The application recognises the legitimacy of Palestinian demands, but also seeks immediate relief from the suffering in Gaza.
Welcome to the finish line. You made it!
