Forty years apart, two Indians faced moments when every second mattered.

In 1986, Neerja Bhanot was the senior flight purser on Pan Am Flight 73 when four armed hijackers took over the aircraft in Karachi.

She hid passengers’ passports, helped people escape when the shooting began and ultimately lost her life while shielding three children from gunfire. Of the 379 people on board, 359 survived.

In 2026, Capt. Smit Machchhar was at the controls of a flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv when his co-pilot allegedly attacked and stabbed him.

Despite being seriously injured, Machchhar managed to open the cockpit door, allowing passengers and crew to enter and overpower the attacker.

Other crew members then helped stabilise and land the aircraft safely in Saudi Arabia. All 174 passengers survived, including 27 children.

Different decades. Different emergencies. But the same instinct: protect the people behind you, even when you are in danger yourself.

విజయనగరం కలెక్టర్ కార్యాలయం జారీ చేసిన ప్రాథమిక ప్రకటన ప్రకారం, భోగపురం తూర్పు గ్రామంలో ప్రైవేట్ డేటా సెంటర్ ప్రాజెక్ట్ కోసం 2013 భూసేకరణ చట్టం (RFCTLARR Act, 2013) లోని సెక్షన్ 10A కింద సామాజిక ప్రభావ అంచనా (SIA) మరియు ప్రజల సమ్మతికి సంబంధించిన అధ్యాయాలను మినహాయించడం చట్టవిరుద్ధం మరియు ఆందోళనకరం.

ఈ కార్యనిర్వాహక చర్యలపై ముఖ్యమైన అభ్యంతరాలు:

• స్థానిక హక్కులకు భంగం:
2013 భూసేకరణ చట్టంలోని చాప్టర్ II, III లను మినహాయించడం ద్వారా స్థానిక ప్రజల భూయజమానుల ప్రాథమిక హక్కులైన సంప్రదింపులు, ప్రభావ మూల్యాంకనం, పారదర్శకతను కాలరాస్తున్నారు.

• కేంద్ర చట్టానికి విరుద్ధంగా రాష్ట్ర ఉత్తర్వులు:

ప్రజా ప్రయోజనాలను, భూ హక్కులను పరిరక్షించడానికి పార్లమెంటు రూపొందించిన చట్టపరమైన రక్షణలను కేవలం రాష్ట్ర స్థాయి కార్యనిర్వాహక మెమోలు మరియు జి.ఓ.ల ద్వారా చట్టవిరుద్ధంగా పక్కన పెట్టడం తగదు.

• పర్యావరణానికి సహజ వనరులకు ముప్పు:

కఠినమైన ప్రభావ అంచనాలు లేకుండా స్థానిక వనరుల పరీవాహక ప్రాంతాలలో భారీ పారిశ్రామిక ప్రాజెక్టులను ఏర్పాటు చేయడం ద్వారా ప్రాంతీయ పర్యావరణ వ్యవస్థ, భూగర్భ జలాలు తీవ్ర ప్రమాదంలో పడతాయి. స్థానిక రైతులు రైతు కూలీల జీవనోపాధికి అలాగే ఈ ప్రాంత ఆహార భద్రతకు కూడా ఇది విఘాతం కలిగిస్తుంది.

ప్రైవేట్ వాణిజ్య ప్రయోజనాల కోసం ప్రజా సంప్రదింపులను, పర్యావరణ రక్షణలను విస్మరించకుండా. రాజ్యాంగబద్ధమైన చట్టాలను గౌరవిస్తూ, ప్రజాస్వామ్య హక్కులకు విఘాతం కలిగించే ఈ మినహాయింపు ఉత్తర్వులను తక్షణమే ఉపసంహరించుకోవాలని రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాన్ని గట్టిగా డిమాండ్ చేస్తున్నాము!

లేదంటే చట్ట పరమైన చర్యలతో దీనిని వ్యతిరేకిస్తాం, భోగాపురం ప్రజలకు మద్దతు ఇస్తాం అని తెలియజేస్తున్నాం

సింగపూర్ మారినప్పుడు భారతదేశం ఎందుకు మారలేదు?..

దేశాన్ని నాశనం చేసింది అవినీతి మయం చేసి పరిపాలనను, న్యాయవ్యవస్థను కూడా భ్రష్టు పట్టించినది కేవలం కొందరు స్వార్థ రాజకీయ నాయకులే!

ఒకప్పుడు నేరాలు, లంచగొండితనంతో నిండిన "సింగపూర్".. కఠినమైన నిర్ణయాలు, జీరో టాలరెన్స్ విధానంతో ఈరోజు ప్రపంచంలోనే అత్యుత్తమ దేశంగా మారింది. మరి ఒకప్పుడు ప్రపంచానికి ఆధ్యాత్మిక జ్ఞానాన్ని, విజ్ఞానాన్ని ఇచ్చి దిశా నిర్దేశం చేసిన అపారమైన మానవ వనరులు, సంపద ఉన్న మన భారతదేశం ఇప్పుడు ఎందుకు వెనుకబడి ఉంది?

• వ్యవస్థను భ్రష్టుపట్టిస్తున్నవి రెండు ఒకటి అవినీతి రెండు స్వార్ధ రాజకీయాలు. దేశాన్ని అభివృద్ధి పథంలో నడిపించాల్సిన పరిపాలన యంత్రాంగం, న్యాయ వ్యవస్థలు సైతం అవినీతిపరులైన కొందరు రాజకీయ నాయకుల చేతిలో కీలుబొమ్మలుగా మారాయి.

• సింగపూర్‌లో తప్పు చేస్తే మంత్రులైనా, అధికారులైనా జైలుకే. కానీ మన దేశంలో జైలుకి వెళితే ఏకంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి స్థానం! చట్టాలు బలహీనుడికి బలంగాను బలవంతుడికి బలహీనంగాను పనిచేస్తున్నాయి.

• నిజమైన మార్పు ఎప్పుడు? దేశంలో అవినీతిని ఏమాత్రం సహించని Zero Tolerance వాతావరణం ఏర్పడినప్పుడే, చట్టాలు బలహీనులకు బలవంతులకు సమానంగా అమలు చేసినప్పుడే నిజమైన మార్పు వస్తుంది.

తప్పు ఎవరు చేసినా తప్పే అనే స్థితికి భారతీయ పౌరులు రావాలి. అలాగే #అవినీతిపై_రాజీలేని_పోరాటం_కేవలం రాజకీయం కోసం కాకుండా, అవసరమైతే అవినీతిని అరికట్టడానికి కఠిన నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకుంటూ రాజకీయ పార్టీలు ముందుకు వెళ్లాలి. అప్పుడే మన ఊరు గానీ, మన రాష్ట్రం గానీ, మన దేశం గానీ బాగుపడేది!

మన దేశ భవిష్యత్తును మార్చడానికి, స్వచ్ఛమైన పారదర్శకమైన పాలన కోసం ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ గొంతు ఎత్తాల్సిన సమయం ఇది!

త్వరలో రానున్న స్థానిక ఎన్నికల నుండి అవినీతిపరులను వెలివేద్దాం. దీన్ని ఆచరణలో పెట్టడానికి స్థానిక ఎన్నికలే తొలి అడుగు కావాలి రండి మీ వంతు కర్తవ్యం మీరు నిర్వహించండి అప్పుడే దేశం బాగుపడుతుంది ✊
