#MeteorSighting: Eyewitnesses in New England and @NOAA’s GOES-19 satellite reported a bright fireball on Saturday, May 30, at 2:06 p.m EDT accompanied by a loud noise. The meteor appears to have fragmented at an altitude of 40 miles over northeast MA and southeast NH. The energy released at breakup is estimated to be equivalent to about 300 tons of TNT, which accounts for the loud noise.

Umberto Eco, who owned 50,000 books, had this to say about home libraries:

@Editorialz The nomination rule isn’t a block, it’s a democratic filter. Article 12 protects the presidency from chaos or celebrity games. 20 TDs/Senators or 4 councils = a minimal show of public support. If you can’t clear that, you’re not being silenced, you’re just not ready.

Reducing this case to class oversimplifies a complex legal process. Justice is grounded in evidence and jurors’ deliberation, not social hierarchies. Calling it "class-prejudiced injustice" erodes trust in the system and trivialises the pursuit of truth.

I recall my Grandfather speaking about his Dad’s tales of working on the English railways and thereafter construction projects. It was very common amongst Irish to go work in UK!
