On 2-Apr-2026, Pune witnessed severe flooding, hailstorms, and complete traffic paralysis.
My BMW X1 suffered engine damage during this event.
Facts:
✔ Engine Protector add-on was purchased
✔ Vehicle was trapped in traffic
✔ Vehicles were stranded ahead and behind
✔ No practical route of exit
✔ Family including my 5-year-old daughter was with me
After ~50 days of silence, the claim was repudiated citing:
❌ "Gross Negligence"
❌ "Consequential Loss"
Yet the policy specifically provides Engine Protector coverage for water ingress related damage.
My question is simple:
If Engine Protector does not apply in a genuine water-ingress situation during an extreme weather event, then under what circumstances does it apply?
Even today:
Surveyor findings have not been shared
Technical basis for negligence has not been disclosed
Grievance questions remain unanswered
Requesting a fair senior-level review.

Dear @pnbindia please tell me why is your staff at PNB housing finance limited Sector 31 Gurugram is not allowing me to submit the DD for home loan closure on 2nd July when it is clearly mentioned that I can submit it between 2-17th of the month. The staff is adamant that I submit it on 3rd. Given that 3rd July is the last date and any issue will cause a recalculation of the amount. To avoid issues related to this, Why can’t I submit on the 2nd itself? Or this is a new way to harass the customers and means to extort extra amount from them?

@AmazonHelp Hi Sadrushya, I have spoken to an Amazon representative and explained the issue. He has assured me that he will escalate it to his higher management because it is an issue with seller selling used phone to me as a new phone. This is serious concern and damages the trust I have.
@AmazonHelp Venu, sellers are selling used items through Amazon. Luckily I got to know it because phone malfunctioned within 15 days. Ideally you should ask the seller how did this happen! My problem is not why phone got damaged but why I was sold a used phone? Don’t you see a problem here?
@AmazonHelp If you see the diagnosis report, the purchase date is 22nd April whereas the phone was purchased on 18th May on Amazon by Me. Clearly, the seller sold me a used phone. How is this not something that Amazon should look into? You need to hold the seller accountable.
@AmazonHelp I have already reached out to manufacturer. The item is deemed out of warranty because the issue is not within warranty. If they repair the phone it will be chargeable. My issue is that the diagnosis report clearly says phone got activated on 22nd April while I bought it in May.
