Dipu Chandra Das, a 25-year-old Hindu factory worker, was brutally lynched by a mob for speaking about and adhering to his Hindu faith.
Incident Details…
The Allegation:
Das was accused by a mob of committing blasphemy. Reports suggest the accusation stemmed from a statement he allegedly made: "All gods are same with different names".
The Attack:
A mob gathered outside the factory where Das worked and beat him severely. His body was then reportedly hung from a tree and set on fire.

November 3, 2025: Today marks the first anniversary of the outrageous attack on Hindu community at the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton. In broad daylight, children, women, and men were viciously attacked by extremists waving Khalistan flags and wielding sticks right on sacred temple grounds.

Peel Police Sergeant Harinder Sohi was caught on video actively joining the mob, brandishing a Khalistan flag, and chanting anti-Hindu slogans, behavior so egregious that even @PeelPolice suspended him.

Let us honour this day by drawing a firm line: we reject every individual and politician who shields or excuses Canada-Based Khalistani Extremist (CBKE) networks.

The Hindu Canadian Foundation (HCF) stands resolute in safeguarding every Canadian and amplifying the collective voice against this growing CBKE threat. We are closely following that incidents like the one on November 3, 2024, where Peel Regional Police officers were seen on video engaging in aggressive actions against members of the Hindu community, are never repeated.

The Hindu Canadian Foundation urges Peel Police to take proactive steps to prevent such occurrences and reaffirms its willingness to collaborate in safeguarding community trust.

At the same time, individuals or groups promoting #khalistani extremist ideologies, attempt to intimidate children and women, must be subject to heightened scrutiny and held accountable under the law.
