There were 487 Grey Crowned Cranes counted in Rwanda in 2017. Through conservation efforts, the number has risen to 1,216 in 2023!

Exciting news! The first baby eastern black rhino was born to one of the rhinos relocated from European zoos. This adorable calf is the first successful birth since the relocation of these zoo rhinos to #Akagera in 2019. It's thriving and doing great in its new environment.

For 10 days, the Conservation and Research Department team successfully deployed new tracking devices to 11 lions, 5 white rhinos, 3 black rhinos, and 2 elephants Lions and elephants were fitted with GPS/VHF collars, and rhinos were deployed with in-horn VHF transmitters. 1/3
