Until you actually run a business in India, it's very hard to understand how much of an entrepreneur's time here goes in just making sure they are compliant with all laws and are paying each tax correctly and on time.

India goes out of its way to make this a struggle.

On 18 lakh on road price car in Bangalore, govt gets 7.5 lakh.

Car manufacturer only gets 10.5 lakhs revenue, profit before tax is only 1 lakh, and again 25k income tax is paid to the govt.

Net profit to company- 75k
Profit to govt- 7.75 L

This is why we get poor quality cars.

On Vauld, the fact that they've transparently tried to work out a solution makes me trust them more. They could have just vanished overnight. While things didn't work out for them, as a customer I think they've approached it reasonably well.

While I am also one of the folks who put some amount of money in crypto via Vauld, not sure why we're blaming influencers (or Vauld). Don't you know how crypto works, and that value can vanish in seconds? Did you not factor that in?

Influencer marketing is same as other forms of marketing - an effort to build a perception. Blaming influencers makes you naive. They are providing a service to the social media industry, and sometimes you might like what they say and other times it might not work out.
