Because when something happens in Assam, we are so interconnected that you cannot say that this is for Assam and this is not for the Northeast. When Tata sets up a semiconductor industry, it may be geographically in Assam, but it has to be for all the Northeastern states. Guwahati, being the gateway of the Northeastern states, attracts the entire talent pool of the region because all other states are hilly and there are certain difficulties in setting up certain kinds of industries... Assam provides that opportunity because we have a lot of land in the plain area. Assam provide that ecosystem to the youth of the entire Northeast. If I can bring one rupee to Assam, automatically that one rupee goes to Northeast..."

Group CEO & MD Anil Chalamalasetty participated at the @advasm2025 & delivered a keynote address in the august presence of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, Governor of Assam Shri @Laxmanacharya54 ji, Hon'ble @CMOfficeAssam Shri @himantabiswa ji & Hon’ble Senior Ministers from GoI and Govt of Assam & industry leaders.

At the Summit, Anil Chalamalasetty announced further investments in Assam apart from the existing investment in 2G Bio Ethanol Refinery for ₹4000 cr. He announced the development of a 900 MW PSP in Karbi Anglong with an investment of ₹6000 cr & a 2G Bio-Ethanol-based SAF Project with an investment of ₹4000 cr to accelerate #EnergyTransition and enable India to achieve its energy goals and lead industrial decarbonization globally.

He thanked and appreciated the Govt of Assam for organising a global event like #AdvantageAssam2 & expressed his optimism that the summit will accelerate the region's and India’s growth and position India as a global economic power.
