So I'm trying that @threadapalooza thing I have been reading about. This is going to be a personal finance curriculum in 100 tweets. This is stuff I have been rolling around in my head for a while, and over time I want to dive deeper into a bunch of this on YouTube. Here we go!

@rach262003 Does he have a good friend/social group? I think a lot of people fall into these traps if they don't have community around them. Not an excuse by any means, but I think the best way to avoid falling in with the wrong crowd is to already be part of the right crowd.

@SteveKamb honestly yeah, started having dinner around 6, with a ~9:30-5:30 sleep schedule, it's pretty sweet! Only downside is the days when I'm out late hanging out with friends, still end up waking by ~6 and hurting the rest of the day

Tbh, this scarily sounds like it would heavily lend credence to the PUA tactic of negging, their whole thing is to treat women as lower value to make themselves seem higher value

@InezFeltscher Yeah, I think it's a risk of being perceived as a threat, as well as being perceived as objectifying. Younger generations are more aware of many women's struggles in those areas, and have internalized more of a concern about accidentally being "part of the problem"

@innerpathing Yeah, as a guy who tries to be aware of feminist concerns, so many stories online of shitty stuff that men do and how horrible it makes these women feel, it's very easy to get in the mindset of not wanting to contribute even in the slightest to women feeling objectified or unsafe

@lilbabygandhi I kinda think it's because there is a discrepancy (although can be connected) between cute and hot, and the ranking tends to be more about hot, whereas interest skews more towards cute, or combo of cute + hot?

@BeaLawson27 @alyssa_hakanson @goldnecklace2 Later I will try and either find pics or do a cleanup so I can take pics. But it's almost all ikea, so wasn't crazy expensive. I use 3 of the Alex drawers plus a 98" karlby for my crafting table on one wall of the room, plus a couple of kallax cube shelf units on the other.
