@TDavisUNT#6010a2@constatively that is really thought-provoking. I think it's because, in many cases, technology isn't used correctly or consistently. It could also be that technology is missing the "human" component, which is why I feel that holographic tech has so much potential
@constatively#6010a2 When used correctly, technology can positively impact learning. When it's used just to be used, it can actually detract from the message. I've seen this a many times in online learning modules - adding bells & whistles that aren't needed & take away from the message.
@constatively#6010a2 that type of communication? Technology shouldn't be used just to use it - it needs to enhance or "lend itself toward" what is being communicated or learned.
@constatively#6010a2 Without a doubt, the technology we use for learning communication impacts what is conveyed. Of course, we have to consider both the one communicating and the recipient of the communication. Are they both well-versed in the technology? Is the technology suitable for...
@constatively#6010a1 Wouldn't that depend on one"s orientation toward rationalism or empiricism? With the question of epistemology and method being dependent on it?
@constatively#6010a1 Although each person is unique, I think you can generalize when designing learning experiences; for example, designing training that allows the learner to hear, see, and do.
@constatively I think there is some confusion regarding the difference between what you expect with the blog vs discussion topic this week. Do you mind clarifying? #LTEC6010
@constatively Interesting, but I would argue that that impacts a subset of the population - not the population as a whole. Also, I would be more interested in the credentials of the college or university as to its viability, more than online vs traditional. #LTEC6010
@James17071@constatively I don't think it's a question about using technology, but more of a question of using technology that contributes to the learning experience. Thoughts?
@FranTechTeacher@constatively @AustinHaynes3 I think the numbers would be staggering - too many times, the purchasers are not the teachers - "Let's get this new tech and throw it at the teachers - use it!" If it's the wrong tech for the wrong class, learning can be compromised. #LTEC6010
