guys, i honestly do not like clowning on Gary.
I don't find being the butt of a joke funny, so I imagine he does not either.
But, this is what worries me about where we are going. We are actively encouraging an entire generation that the tech is there when its not, and a couple of silly mistakes made on a website isn't the end of the world, but people's data and breaches are serious. We are entering a very VERY hackable world, and I do not like it one bit.
After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.
I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.
It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.
May God bless America.
@NVIDIAGeForce the photorealism looks so out of place in contrast to the animations, just looks so bad. Uncharted 4 (a game from 2016) still looks better than all of these demos.
@JustDavidG@andrewpprice@Grummz When did I ever say that? I have an immense amount of respect for software and the craft that goes into it. But I also realise that there’s no difference between good code being ai generated vs handwritten.
@andrewpprice@Grummz Yes, a huge amount, but it’s still just about achieving some intended behaviour at the end of the day. No one looks at a codebase and cares whether it’s AI generated or not. If the code is good, it’s good. It only becomes a problem when the code is actually slop.
@andrewpprice@Grummz Disagree completely. Art is art. Code is logic. They’re not comparable. Why would anyone care that code isn’t hand written by a human if the end behaviour is the same?
