Participated in the U.S.โKenya Trade and Investment Roundtable held today convened by the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) in partnership with Trade and Development Bank (TDB) Group, Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) and Invest Kenya.
The discussions focused on leveraging public capital to catalyze private sector investment, particularly through institutional investors, de-risking mechanisms and strengthened policy frameworks. We explored innovative models such as infrastructure vehicles, credit guarantees and blended finance approaches that can unlock sustainable private capital without undue fiscal pressure.
Kenya remains committed to private investment-led growth. We are advancing reforms to digitize services, strengthen investor protection, modernize facilitation processes and improve the overall business environment to make Kenya a predictable and competitive investment destination.
With U.S being Kenyaโs largest source of FDI and Kenyaโs 3rd Largest export destination and AGOA extended through 2026, we look forward to continued collaboration toward a longer-term trade framework that provides certainty for investors and exporters.
We appreciate the partnership of CCA, TDB, KEPSA, KIA and the U.S. business community as we work together to unlock shared prosperity.@GovLeeKinyanjui@StateHouseKenya@SpokespersonGoK@TdbGroup@USEmbassyKenya@AmChamKE@AmerActionNews@InvestKenya_@KEPSA_KENYA@CorpCnclAfrica@epzakenya@Investment_Ke@SEZAuthority_ke@KDC_KE@MITIKenya@KBCChannel1@KTNNewsKE@citizentvkenya@K24Tv@ntvkenya@tv47digital

Special economic zone program is an incentivised tool to accelerate the attraction of private investments. President Rutos @WilliamsRuto Administration has thus far enacted 10 legal interventions to make the program condusive and competitive. 5 more legal interventions will be in the business laws amendment bill of 2026. We have signed an agreement with the leadership of IFC to further sharpen the tool with technical assistance and strengthen institutional capacity in order to attract more private capital and create more jobs for the youth. In addition to the enabling environment, the cooperation agreement will also focus on Green special economic zones and performance based incentives.
