On a recent #IVLP exchange focused on combating racism in sports, participants from Spain 🇪🇸 engaged with Juan Carlos Ramos from Radio Tropical, Telemundo 42, and Jambalaya News in New Orleans. They discussed the importance of representation in sports media, the role of journalism in addressing racial biases, inclusive sports opportunities, and more.

IVLP exchanges advance economic growth and innovation! 💡 This week, Iraqi intellectual property (IP) practitioners met with innovators and IP experts in Lincoln, NE to discuss the development, protection, and commercialization of new technologies used in agriculture 🌽, robotic surgery 🦾, and other fields. #IVLP

We had an engaging conversation about the need for young leaders to run for office, and the challenges that come with pursuing political careers. At the same time, #IVLP participants from 15 countries toured the Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago, also known as the "Black Metropolis" of the city, learning more about the community's rich history and culture and the pursuit for freedom, justice, dignity, and opportunity for all.

Through #IVLP exchanges, international leaders learn firsthand about U.S. history and efforts to dismantle racial and social injustice.

For Juneteenth, African professionals participating in an IVLP exchange focused on combating human trafficking attended a special tour in Washington, DC of the famous U Street Corridor, also known as Washington’s “Black Broadway”. During this tour, the group reflected on the contributions of Black Americans, the meaning and legacy of Juneteenth, and what Americans are doing to build equity and social justice.

Earlier this year, cybersecurity experts from the Kurdistan region of Iraq met with representatives from academic institutions in San Antonio to share best practices in designing educational cybersecurity programs. In addition to professional meetings, they were also able to experience the unique culture of Texas up close! 🤠

At the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC) Conference of the States Parties (#COSP10), the 2023 Anti-Corruption Champions were delighted to connect with @UnderSecStateJ!
