Hi everyone, my website is now live and I will be posting all my new projects and interesting content on there.
Please have a look at https://t.co/CiOY9xyTtU and let me know what you think!
Thanks

@PythonPr Would it be appropriate to mention that #Excel is limited to about 1 million row entries, whereas #SQL is nearly unlimited.
SQL can also outperform Excel for return result speed.
@BCarterLAE I've got a very good legal and policy document for #digitalforensic practioners written by Dr Janice Goldstraw-White. Most applicable to UK practioners but could be of interest to practioners in other countries.

Right that's it I'm done for! Small wins, got one portion of my GPS app to work correctly in a loop. User can specify how many GPS coordinates they want to enter/plot and loop responds accordingly. Creates a map and opens it. πͺπ¨βπ»
I had a small inspiration earlier, about how #cybersecurity is an ethos to be lived like a daily habit rather than one off checks or token gestures.
I realised that I hadn't added #SHA256 hashes to items on my downloads page on my website, so I am going to correct that now.
I'd like to do some more work on my GPS app, I love any and all #productivityhacks and this morning I learned that I can open my #pythonapp with a batch file. So I set that up, I double click an icon on my desktop and it's great, the app opens in the command prompt.
@donsteve__@Ahmed___khaan I don't know if this will be of any use to you, depending where you are on your journey.
But I've been putting together some resources that you might find interesting.

I'm hoping to do an #MSc in #cybersecurity and I'll add more content as I go.
@dark_coderz Is it worth mentioning something like #Recuva software which can search for and recover lost, deleted or accidentally deleted files?
#datarecovery
I've used this effectively to demonstrate data concealment to my students in #cybersecurity
Morning everyone!
Did anyone watch the boxing last night? Congratulations to @KatieTaylor what an amazing athlete and a career. Not only is she supremely talented she appears a nice person as well. Does anyone else think she might become a fantastic manager/trainer?
@donsteve__ I still check the security certificate on each website before I enter any details, even on ones I know. However, I believe these can still be forged or used by bad actors, but it's a good habit I feel.
To working on a simple GPS console app in #python where I can calculate distances, plot coordinates manually and take coordinates from an #Excel file.
One stop shop for GPS π, got the distance code working this evening.π
Goodnight everyone, see you tomorrow!
Hey everyone, how's your Saturday night been? If you are out enjoying yourself, have one for me! Tonight, I've been doing some exercise and I have been working on my website where some responsiveness for mobile users wasn't very good.
With that sorted I then moved on ->
After analysing 5 years of data, 76% of outages were not reported in popular mailing lists/websites. Validation indicates a 90% accuracy rate with 93% precision.
~ 70% of failed facilities, below 99.999% uptime
and that concludes the talk, the author is researcher at a Uni.
Hello everyone, how is your Saturday going? I am back on it today, I got ahead with my reading so I could take a day or two off. That is now over, the next article is about detecting internet outages accurately.
Can your organisation measure exactly how long an outage is?
->
Discussing using BGP routes and comparing them, mapping BGP communities was required.
Was possible to track nearly 0.5 of BGP IP4 paths.
Capturing partial as well as complete outages.
