The Pistons are expected to go “big game hunting” after trading Isaiah Stewart with Kawhi Leonard and LeBron James as potential targets, per @WindhorstESPN
They need to win the ship otherwise I have no interest in this fucking team now it's clear they don't fucking understand what makes people like the Pistons in the first place because it's people like him
I just want to speak on Isaiah Stewart real quickly before anything else.
Stew is a very good player. I am happy to see how Stew has developed and turned himself into a really good player. He was the heart and soul of this locker room. Versatile defensive player. I like Stew a ton and appreciate how he handled the media. I wish him the very best, sincerely.
With that said, it was made clear to me weeks ago that he would be moved. From DET side, they’re about to pay Duren a ton of money and Paul Reed outplayed both of them in the playoffs on a much cheaper contract. DET did not want to commit that much money to a center room. Along with that, Stew (while being very good) has struggled to finish a season healthy almost every year of his career. That played into this.
From Stew’s side, I believe stew was welcoming of a new start that gives a little more freedom and a bigger role. I believe he wants to shoot threes and more freedom to shoot, and believes he’s capable of doing more (he very well might be right!)
It just made sense for both sides for this offseason to be the one Stew was moved.
@Mr_KnockinBooks@jemelehill Because the parade and championship appearances in New York may have actually covered the three days of mandatory offseason PR appearances owners allowed to dictate so outside of that he can't actually make them go
@KuKhahil Honestly would not surprise me if he didn’t want to leave California.
He left a championship team just to play for the clippers. I think that’s a pretty good indication winning doesn’t matter that much to him as living near LA.
@RichStapless The problem with this is they've repeatedly shown Maxine with theory if they hadn't done that and been teasing her heel turn this would have been perfect
That's always been why so many were anti-remote work though.
1. A lot more people than you think are dependent on work for socialization - very Michael Scott like.
2. A lot of others dislike their spouses and kids and want an excuse to leave every day.
3. Another group are micromanagers/people with poor management skills, and/or people whose jobs really don't need to exist if people prove able to work independently and they know it.
4. A small group loses money on commercial real estate if remote work is successful.
And those groups of people are trying to hold everyone else hostage in offices.
I genuinely don't get people who criticize Roman Reigns, a professional wrestler, who's showing up to a White House because he got invited as a citizen of his country.
Like y'all need to grow up. Show your anger to your neighbour. Not celebrities just doing their job.
