Hi friends!! I work at KC Pet Project, (and for those of you that know me, you know what a dream that is for me) Last year we built a brand new, state of the art facility with a huge capacity and have managed to stay an open-admissions shelter throughout the pandemic.

I accidentally opened Duolingo three days ago and sparked a whole new barrage of emails and taunts.

@CollisStutzer 😂"She was there for me when nobody else was" -- I am sorry to say that this means nobody was there.

[afsaneh @afsaneh]

@CollisStutzer Maybe not anti-black. it is tone deaf tho considering the cost (time and monetary) it costs to prepare healthy vs a package of hotdogs. if they plan to ban unhealthy foods it’s gonna have to be more money on that card.

[afsaneh @afsaneh]

@tararaam_ Such a thoughtful description of this precious soul. I love her without knowing her. Thinking of you and her, prayers en route.

[afsaneh @afsaneh]

@ellemoxley you are a modern day hero. this will help me & my colleagues so much as we work with kiddos in multiple districts.

“the state of the world reflects a distortion of the human spirit, not its essential nature” – UHJ 2012

[afsaneh @afsaneh]

@andreajj1_ yes so true. takes hard work. sometimes set backs happen.

[afsaneh @afsaneh]

@andreajj1_ ugh so sorry to hear this my love!! i hope you get a moment of quiet to center yourself, remember what a beautiful and noble soul you are & pray. then, if you feel moved make a very short to-do list & make the tasks very achievable and set out tomorrow with clarity.

@mojgani @hattlibrary Brought me to tears:: I found this address made by your mother also deeply moving: https://t.co/QAZneNyWpW

[Anis Mojgani @mojgani]

Yesterday was 54 yrs since my moms & 6 other young Black folks were denied library cards in Hattiesburg MS, Freedom Summer. My brother reached out to the @hattlibrary & we watched Mom open the letter they sent. With so much trash right now, I wanted to share this with y’all ❤️
