ממש היום, לפני 16 שנים, בעוד מתרחש בארץ משבר משט Mavi Marmara, מזמן שר החוץ התורכי, שבמקרה ביקר באותם ימים בארה׳ב, דיון חירום במועצת הבטחון של האו׳ם. בידינו היו כשלוש שעות בלבד להכין נאום, תגובות והופעה בפני המועצה.

דיון מאד לא נעים, נאומים קשים, כשבשיאו של הדיון הכריז שר החוץ התורכי כי מדובר ב-״יום השחור בתולדות האנושות״!!…

נשיא מועב׳ט (שגריר לבנון, כיום ראש ממשלת לבנון @nawafsalam ), העניק לי את רשות הדיבור כשהגיע תורי. העמדה הישראלית הוצגה בנאום שנוסח בניו יורק (לאיש בארץ לא היה קשב לסייע…)

בתום הדיון ובעקבות מו׳מ עיקש, פורסמה הודעה נשיאותית, ובהמשך הוקמה ועדת חקירה בראשות פאלמר. מסקנות הועדה היו לגמרי סבירות מבחינתה של ישראל.

@British_Airways My Mom booked a BA flight (TLV to London) through Bravofly travel agency (@BravoflyBlog). The flight got cancelled amidst the covid outbreak last August. It's been over six months and she hasn't received a refund yet. Booking (reservation ID): NW3F9J.
