@tracesoffaith I reported my abuser ; so i got kicked out and gift aid donations for the last year were returned to me.
Ive been re-abused every time i appeal.
This is how they do things in Derby if they like the abuser.
The actual church is St michaels , Kniveton
Exactly how "independent" does Archbishop Mullally mean that safeguarding should be? Truly, 100% external and independent, like what Prof Jay suggested at last's year's Synod and which was voted down?
Or the current half-way model which isn't really independent at all.
Despite all the many, many beautiful words, this is what survivors of clerical abuse will want to know. That, and what is happening to the Redress Scheme.
Great reporting by @kayaburgess, who also zeroed in on the crucial but little-reported issue of funding.

Today members of CofE synod voted on totally NON independent so called oversight of its horrendous safeguarding. It's the biggest saddest joke ever.
Members of synod must share a singular brain cell if they think this is either independent or sensible.
Disgusted.
@ChurchTimes@Rgt71Robert HoS agrees with @Rgt71Robert
on @ineqegroup audits. Ineqe enjoy 'diocesan audit monopoly' - in itself unhealthy - and they don't seem particularly inquisitive & searching
A test will be the results of the London audit. Will it align with recent revelations?
