Powering Kenyaโs Future: The Siaya Nuclear Power Plant Project
Kenya is standing on the threshold of a historic energy revolution. Energy Cabinet Secretary Hon. Opiyo Wandayi has officially urged for nationwide support as @nuclearkenya and @KenGenKenya embark on the development of the first-ever nuclear power plant in Siaya County. This ambitious KSh 500 billion project is not just about generating electricity; it is a strategic pillar of our national development agenda, designed to provide a stable, clean, and affordable energy base for generations to come. Energy and Petroleum CS further highlighted the governmentโs commitment to transparency, noting that "public participation is not a mere procedural requirement but a core value of our approach."
As @nuclearkenya, we are committed to leading this transition with the highest standards of safety and transparency. The Siaya plant will initially contribute 1,000 MW to the national grid, serving as a catalyst for industrialization, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. By diversifying our energy mix, we are ensuring that Kenya remains competitive on the global stage while meeting the growing demands of our modern economy.
We invite all stakeholders and the public to join us in this journey toward energy self-sufficiency. Your support is crucial in transforming Kenya into a newly industrialized, middle-income country. Together, we are building a brighter, more resilient future powered by innovation. ^F.K

@ProfSMoon@WilliamsRuto The President understand KAIST. The rest I seriously doubt. No ๐โโ๏ธ ne who knows the role KAIST played in Korea would make Kenya-AIST answerable to a different random university. It is like making KAIST answerable to Paichai uni. As a KAIST alumni, I found it very unfortunate.
@ProfSMoon@WilliamsRuto I agree. Very similar path to what AIT in Ethiopia took around 2013 getting a Chancellor from KAIST. Perfomance is already through the roof. Konza would make an excellent site for a full on Korea Town.
Really wish Prof. Kunmi Chung had been capable of attanding the Charter Award.
@ProfSMoon@WilliamsRuto ์๋ ํ์ธ์ Professor, I agree 100%. I studied ์์๋ ฅ at KAIST and was a Miracle of the Han River Narrator at Vision Hall at what was then the University Library close to 10 years ago. Come be an Emiratus Professor at Kenya-AIST.
It is more than a year since the geniuses at @KRACorporate decided what travellers arriving at JKIA need after 16 hours of flights is an extra hour waiting in line coz we can't allow allow anyone more underwear than they need. Wonder how much money the country has made from this.
@Stephen57908892 Or not shoot them in the first place. Actions like these basically create a precedence that other far less free societies can exploit while pursuing a far more primitive agenda. What happens when China or Russia do the exact same thing to one of your allies nations?
@Belive_Kinuthia The previous Ayatollah lived to 86 & died an old man with prostate cancer. He lived a long & fruitful life & chose to die in his own house. Raila Odinga passed away at 80. This wholesale adoption of western narratives to try to sound smart is very stupid.
@Mwafreeka Cameras on the road will mean the end of Subaru death squads & the Kenyan police. Halafu, naona hiyo mambo ya Waisraeli in Kenya umeilenga jo - can only imagine if it was Russians. Kweli bendera hufuata upepo. Given how Christian we are, unaonaje? Kuna wakenya wanauana Gaza ama?
@Mwafreeka Lol. you didn't even listen to the report. Kenyans fight in US. Same in Russia. Niko sure wakenya wako wengi sana Gaza. ICJ call it a gen๐คฎcide.
Land is a very serious issue in Kenya. You're a bigger figure now than time ya Gaddafi & the internet is bigger. We've noticed.
@Mwafreeka@hussainyahya1 Ilambe bro.. Dams collapse pastoralists wanahamishwa, then suddenly Zi๐คฎnists wamejaa huko,
