Opiyo Wandayi has officially urged for nationwide support as @nuclearkenya and @KenGenKenya embark on the development of the first-ever nuclear power plant in Siaya County. This ambitious KSh 500 billion project is not just about generating electricity; it is a strategic pillar of our national development agenda, designed to provide a stable, clean, and affordable energy base for generations to come. Energy and Petroleum CS further highlighted the government’s commitment to transparency, noting that "public participation is not a mere procedural requirement but a core value of our approach."

As @nuclearkenya, we are committed to leading this transition with the highest standards of safety and transparency. The Siaya plant will initially contribute 1,000 MW to the national grid, serving as a catalyst for industrialization, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. @ProfSMoon @WilliamsRuto I agree. Very similar path to what AIT in Ethiopia took around 2013 getting a Chancellor from KAIST. Perfomance is already through the roof. Konza would make an excellent site for a full on Korea Town.
