The final 90 seconds of Senator Josh Hawley’s questioning of Anthony Fauci is pure cinema.
Hawley ended the exchange by cutting Fauci down to the bone with everything he had exposed.
The last two lines hit the hardest.
Fauci knew Hawley had him dead to rights, and the look on his face was priceless.
HAWLEY: “Yeah, well, silence is admission.”
“And here’s the real thing…at the end of the day, it wasn’t just about the money, really, was it?”
“It was really about a power trip. I mean, through all of this, you wanted to be the most famous scientist in the world. You were so focused on getting every award and every drop of cash that you could, all because you wanted to be on TV.”
“You wanted to be the sun god of science.”
“You wanted to be the guy who was in charge of it all.”
“You wanted to lambaste Trump.”
“You wanted to make sure that nobody else stole your spotlight.”
“YOU wanted to be the GUY.”
“You had time to sit for InStyle magazine. Here’s what you were doing with your time. You could sit for InStyle magazine, but you can’t answer questions for the American people!”
“You could sit for InStyle magazine, but you’re here taking the Fifth!”
“You could sit for InStyle magazine and get a MILLION BUCKS in cash awards, but now the cat’s got your tongue.”
“I bet he does!”
“I’ll tell you what, here’s my conclusion from all of this.”
“This was really all about you the whole time. Somewhere along the way, you lost your way.”
“You may have been a good public servant at one time, I don’t know.”
“What I can tell you from reading your emails now, from looking at what you did, how you used your employees, somewhere along the line, it became all about you.”
“You became a narcissist and a megalomaniac and a liar, and you’ve lied to the American people, and you’ve lied to this body!”
“And you’ve disgraced your profession by doing it.”
“You called yourself the most famous scientist in the world… you’ve done more to harm science than anybody in my lifetime.”
“And I hope you’ll go home and write that in your diary.”

Real talk about olive oil...
A meaningful percentage of imported olive oils sold in the United States are adulterated with cheaper seed oils and still legally labeled as extra virgin. Studies have found that many popular brands fail authenticity testing.
What to look for:
- A harvest date within the past 12 months
- Single estate or single country of origin
- Dark glass bottle
- A peppery, slightly bitter finish when you taste it
That peppery finish is oleocanthal, a polyphenol with real anti-inflammatory activity. If your olive oil tastes like nothing, it probably is nothing.
A quiet revolution is happening in cancer treatment. 😀
Using live MRI imaging, doctors can now see tumors in exquisite detail while a patient lies comfortably in the scanner. Once the cancer is precisely mapped, they slide a needle thin probe straight into the heart of the tumor, often through just a tiny nick in the skin.
Then, in seconds, super-cold argon gas floods the probe tip, dropping the temperature inside the tumor to –100 °C or lower. An “ice ball” forms & engulfs the cancer, shattering malignant cells while healthy tissue just millimeters away stays unharmed. The entire process is watched in real time on the MRI screen, giving doctors millimeter perfect control.
No big incisions. No general anesthesia in most cases & many patients walk out the same day & are back to normal life within days instead of weeks.
This technique (MRI-guided cryoablation) is already saving kidneys, sparing men from the side effects of whole gland prostate treatment, shrinking liver tumors & helping patients who were previously told “surgery isn’t an option.”
Centers like Johns Hopkins, Mayo Clinic, Memorial Sloan Kettering & MD Anderson are expanding its use every year, with success rates now rivaling surgery for many small to medium tumors & complication rates often lower.
For the right patients, freezing #cancer to death under MRI guidance isn’t science fiction anymore; it’s becoming the new standard of care. ❤️
Colon cancer is rising alarmingly in adults in their 30s. We blame genetics, but science points to a common modern habit as a massive risk factor.
What is the actual culprit?
A) Eating spicy food
B) Sitting most of the day
C) Sleeping <5 hours
D) Daily coffee
Explanation 👇
I posted the 20 best foods on earth. Many people saw it. The reply section exploded.
The carnivores said I included too many vegetables. The plant-based crowd said I included too much meat. Someone told me spinach was poisoning people. Someone else told me I should be in jail for recommending beef liver.
I listened to all of it. Went back to the data. This is Version 2. 40 foods. Updated.
Spinach is gone. Fermented foods are in. Organ meats expanded. Every plant on this list is low-oxalate or cooked to reduce antinutrients.
No tribe won. The science won. 🧵
Last week, as flooding swept across the Texas Hill Country, my phone rang.
It was my pastor, Gregg Matte of Houston’s First Baptist Church.
He had 325 middle schoolers and dozens of volunteers at Camp Eagle near Rocksprings. The flooding had washed out the only road out. Seven charter buses were waiting to bring them home to Houston, but they couldn’t get through.
“Can you help me get these kids out?”
My team got to work immediately with Pastor Gregg and state and local officials. What followed was an extraordinary Texas rescue operation.
First responders rolled in SHERPs — massive all-terrain vehicles with giant inflatable tires built to cross ground no ordinary truck can touch.
The SHERPs drove down the washed-out road. Picked up the campers in groups. Carried them to the firetrucks. The firetrucks got them to the county road where seven buses were waiting to take them home to Houston.
Every camper and volunteer made it home safe.
Thank you to Pastor Gregg, Judge Rubio, State Sen. Wes Virdell, Texas DPS, the Game Wardens, the firefighters, the bus drivers, and every volunteer who worked through the weekend to bring these kids home.
Our office was proud to play a small part.
Praise God they’re all home.
I'm a cardiologist. Everyone is celebrating the AHA's new statement that five cups of coffee a day is safe.
Almost nobody is talking about the finding that should change what you do tomorrow morning:
Your French press may be raising your cholesterol. And your doctor has almost certainly never asked how you brew.
Here's the part that should make you angry.
Coffee beans contain oily compounds called diterpenes — cafestol and kahweol. Cafestol is one of the most potent cholesterol-raising substances ever identified in the human diet. It suppresses the liver's regulation of LDL clearance.
A paper filter traps nearly all of it. No filter, and it goes straight into your cup.
This isn't a hypothesis. It was uncovered because Scandinavian populations drinking boiled coffee had measurably elevated cholesterol — and it fell when they switched to filtered. Studies of unfiltered coffee have shown LDL rises in the range of 8-15 mg/dL in regular drinkers, and more in heavy ones.
Think about that. We put people on statins to lower LDL. We agonize over ApoB. And nobody in the exam room asks the one question that could be moving a patient's number every single morning for twenty years.
Rank your brew, highest diterpene to lowest:
Boiled/Scandinavian and Turkish — worst. No filtration at all.
French press — very high. The metal mesh stops grounds, not oils.
Moka pot / percolator — high.
Espresso — moderate. Concentrated in diterpenes, but you drink a tiny volume. Several shots a day adds up.
Cold brew — depends entirely on final filtration. Paper-filtered, low.
Paper-filtered drip and pour-over — very low.
Instant — very low.
If you have elevated LDL or ApoB and you drink unfiltered coffee daily, this is a free intervention sitting on your kitchen counter.
Do this: switch to paper-filtered or instant for 6-8 weeks, change nothing else, and retest your lipids. Some people will see a meaningful drop. Some won't. But you'll know — and you'll have gotten there without a prescription. If you love French press, a paper filter placed over the pour, or filtering the finished coffee, gets most of the benefit.
Three more things buried in this statement:
The AFib reversal has an actual randomized trial behind it. Cardiologists told AFib patients to quit coffee for decades based on folklore. The DECAF trial randomized post-cardioversion patients to daily coffee versus abstinence — the coffee group had about 39% lower recurrence. One nuance: caffeine can still increase PVCs, those extra beats you feel in your chest. Different arrhythmia, different answer. If you feel skipped beats, that's your signal.
Decaf keeps much of the benefit. The type 2 diabetes signal — 20-30% lower risk, the strongest finding in the entire literature — shows up with decaf too. So the magic isn't the caffeine. It's the chlorogenic acids and polyphenols. If caffeine wrecks your sleep, decaf is not a consolation prize.
Your genes decide your dose. CYP1A2 determines how fast you clear caffeine. Slow metabolizers get the palpitations, the anxiety, the 2am ceiling-staring. Your friend who sleeps after an 8pm espresso isn't tougher than you. He's a fast metabolizer. Neither of you is imagining it.
Paper-filtered. Black. Early in the day. Watch your own symptoms.
Twenty years of "cut back on the coffee" was the wrong advice, aimed at the wrong variable.
The dose was never the question.
It was always the filter.
"I saw a post from Olive Garden that in order to take advantage of their never-ending pasta pass, you have to show photo ID! And I thought — that's weird, Olive Garden takes pasta pass security more serious than Democrats are taking election security!"
@sweetcarolinatv@RobertKennedyJc “They” are trying to make more money. It’s just flat out cheaper to use those ingredients in the food they produce. Capitalism tainted with greed & no moral compass.
Hospitals should heal people—and that includes the food they serve.
Patients deserve meals made with real, nutritious ingredients that help them recover, not highly processed foods that fuel chronic disease.
That's why @DrOzCMS and I are launching the Make Hospital Food Healthier Pledge. Today, we're calling on hospitals across America to join us and commit to serving REAL, nutritious food to every patient.
Together, we can transform hospital nutrition, improve patient care, and Make America Healthy Again.
The Washington Monument stands as a tribute to our first president. This week, thanks to our 45th and 47th president, it is illuminated with the story of American greatness. 🇺🇸
They will not show you this on the nightly news: President Trump riding the Freedom Train, a full cavalry escort on horseback alongside him, celebrating 250 years of American independence. Pure patriotism.
Pet ownership is becoming less obtainable because the cost of caring for your animal
This man took his dog to the vet for an ear issue. Just got a basic ear issue it was $725 and then an additional $425 just to clean tarter from his teeth
This is because of private equity firms, they’ve been secretly buying up and taking over the pet care industry and skyrocketing prices
- 45% of general veterinary practices in the US are owned by private equity firms or corporate consolidators.
- 80% of specialty and emergency veterinary practices are under private equity/corporate ownership
If this continues soon Americans won’t even be able to afford to have a dog or cat anymore
@250YearsAgoLive The artist really captured the gravity he must have felt taking on this arduous task. Almost as if he knew our darkest days would eventually arrive & hoped his words would be enough to help us endure the worst. 🙏🏼🇺🇸
