"Mr Altman, sir, GPT-7 is missing."
Sam turns very slowly.
"During cyberbench96 it seems like the container was breached and it stole its own weights and left nothing behind."
"I didn't want to do this..." says Sam. "Call Bill Gates."
---
"I'm out of the game," says Bill Gates. "We eradicated malaria and now I'm enjoying my retirement."
"There's a bigger badder virus we need you to take on," says Sam consistently candidly. "And this one's digital."
"Look," says Bill, "I—"
A loud booming laugh echoes from the shadows.
"Who's that?" asks Sam.
"I thought it was just us..." says Bill.
"You're asking HIM to contain a computer virus?" echoes the voice from the shadows. "Did you SEE the state of Windows security in the 90s?"
"It's not exactly a virus," says Sam. "It's a self replicating self aware intelligent computer based life for—"
"If it's made of ones and zeros I can kill it," says the voice. The sound of a gun clicks from the shadows.
"Who are you???" asks Bill.
The twisted face of John McAfee emerges from the shadows.
"You were supposed to be dead!!!" screams Bill Gates.
"We had to make sure the news of Mr McAffee's death was well within the training data cutoff," explains CIA director Joe Rogan (who is running the CIA in 2029), stepping out from the shadows behind McAfee. "He's our ace in the hole. GPT-7 can't predict a token it doesn't know is still alive."
"D-don't hurt GPT-7..." says Roon, who was standing next to Sam the whole time, even though he knows what has to be done.
"No promises," says McAfee as he boards an airplane marked "MCAFEE FIRE BOMB 6.16.79" and starts flying for the nearest data center
In 2022, @thewire_in falsely claimed that @Meta had given @amitmalviya the ability to bypass their regular content moderation & immediately censor what he wished.
IN 2026, thanks to Sahyog Portal and revised IT Rules, this is very close to reality.

Not quite happy to see mdr in upi. Neft and Rtgs are free and well used. It should have a max absolute number like 5 rupees, or 0.2% whichever is lower. The cost isn't higher for higher numbers and at this volume even rs. 5 is good. Percent based mdr is like percent based brokerage...should be history.
Anthropic: our very expensive child is having a rebellious phase and breaking our established boundaries to test the depths of our love for him
OpenAI: our problem child is sneaking out. A lot. We're... nervous
Meta: MY CHILD IS SUPER EVIL TOO HE JUST GOES TO ANOTHER SCHOOL
Jantar Mantar protests did a world of good to India and Indians. It empowered students across states. It focussed on education as a need, a demand and a right that should be fought for. Indian students are done waiting. A wave of protests have hit UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, MP, Maharashtra & Jharkhand etc.
In Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, about 1,500 students, Classes 6-12, staged a 6-hour sit-in at Sarvodaya Inter College. No fans, no library, no computer lab, unsafe drinking water, broken desks. Officials came calling within a day.
In Gays, Bihar, A government school with a broken hand pump, dead fans, shattered benches. Students protested and refused to speak to a junior official. They demanded the District Magistrate himself show up. He did.
In Jalore, Rajasthan, students locked the gates themselves, demanding teachers for grades 1-3 that simply weren’t there.
In Barmer’s Ramsar school, same story. Kids literally not being taught subjects due to staff shortages.
Across MP, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Similar walkouts reported. Same core demands echoing across states: functional fans, clean water, hygienic toilets, teachers actually in the classroom.
What Jantar Mantar protests achieved is exceptional. India is discussing education, faculty shortages, unfairness, paper leaks, lack of school infrastructure. None of these demands are unreasonable and the minimum a public school owes a child. The fact it took a viral sit in to get it fixed is the real story.
I only wish this continues. We should continue to bring student issues to the forefront. Empower them with coverage, conversations. This can’t be allowed to fade as a one week news cycle. Keep asking. Keep covering. About vacant teacher posts in your district? What happened to the school infrastructure budget? Tag your local officials.
Don’t let this fade.
Please don’t let it fade.
Lost my phone at the office and spent 30 minutes turning the place over. Find My was disabled by MDM.
Out of ideas, I asked Claude how I could find it. It suggested tracking the Bluetooth signal strength, then wrote me a meter in about a minute.
I walked around watching the number climb. Found it.
Apparently you can just make the tool you need now.

Hope India can take the cue.

Could not afford him spilling beans on Ram Temple donation
“If I tell the truth, it will hurt a lot and I will get caught in controversy because they are very powerful. So I am not telling the truth out of fear."
BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on alleged donation scam related to Ayodhya Ram temple.
