One of the biggest differences between the brains of humans and other apes is the concentration of dopamine and its related structures. Dopamine is what drives humans to elevate themselves above subsistence, instead creating, conquering, and transforming the world around them.
Thyroid. Magnesium. Potassium. Metabolism. Four books that challenged the mainstream long before it became popular.
All can be unified in #GilbertLing#AIHTheory and #RayPeat oxidative metabolism / generative energy principle
Best tools to heal the gut lining:
Gelatin/collagen/bone broth, sodium butyrate or tributyrin, lactoferrin, zinc carnosine, BPC-157, KPV, larazotide, glutamine, NAC, S. boulardii, L. reuteri, Megasporebiotic, Florassist, Iberogast, slippery elm bark, marshmallow root, DGL, aloe vera, curcumin phytosome, boswellia phytosome, citrus peels, B-vitamins, vitamin D3 and K2, tolerable fibers, binders (activated charcoal or bentonite clay)
By no means an exhaustive list, and the details of implementation matter. Diet and lifestyle interventions are presupposed.
The main goal is increasing energy (supporting epithelial cells, tight junctions, gut mucus, immunity, motility, digestive secretion)
and lowering stress (reducing systemic immune activation/inflammation, pathogens, undigested food, endotoxin/LPS, toxin load)
to improve nutrient absorption and keep everything else out.
I think everyone is overrating nutrition because the biggest levers are things like moving to different climate, changing your life, burning bridges on bad habits and relationships, finding new work. We act like those are all out of our control, while nutrition is easy to fix
Person spend their whole life sick, inflammed, endotoxin, acetaldehyde, etc
Does not experience life to the fullest, very muted, LPS "sickness behavior", etc
Finally heals gut and inflammatory stimulus is removed
Life becomes magical, borderline psychedelic, "it all makes sense now", "Oh so that's how everyone is getting everything done"
Like imagine the lowest energy person you know, lounging around all day, filthy room, shy, doesnt do anything, scrolls all day
Then imagine the intelligence required to operate the finest computing devices and build mass technology
Some of the most beautiful paintings and works of art you have ever seen
Ancient architecture, massive grand buildings and temples
Think about how much creation is being done on this planet, so much creation, seemingly effortlessly
When the body is operating properly it is truly magical what is possible
Why is isolation so harmful?
Impairment (lowered energy requirements→lowered or atrophied perception and physiological functions: ex. psychosis, Alzheimer’s and dementia)
Isolation itself (avoidance or withdrawal can lead to despair but you can increase your resilience through gradual exposure)
Lack of accountability (no one around you and no testing=no reason to improve since no stimulus)
Decadence/dissociation (trying to hold onto vain and self reinforcing delusions or fantasy rather than moving forward and embracing reality/suffering)
Avoidance or withdrawal is a misguided attempt at survival under stress which often creates negative reinforcement (avoiding gives you short term relief), especially in the modern world where you can get away with having few responsibilities and a life that is “good enough”
You need to spend time around people because it expose your flaws. When isolated, you can live in delusion without a true awareness of your problems.
Social interaction/involvement forces you to stop ruminating, it forces you out of yourself into action.
And unless you experience testing, you have no reason to change (e.g. isolation).
In this sense, isolation is a negative reinforcement of your current behaviors—many of which likely dysfunctional if isolation is chronic.
If you are not regularly sharing your experience (within reason) with people who care about you such as family, friends, a spiritual father, and looking for ways to cultivate relationships, you are likely limiting your spiritual development and health.
You can find shared experience without losing your uniqueness.
Follow your intuition.
self talk is everything
your subconscious is always listening, believes everything you tell yourself and will make it true
this is how the placebo effect works, it's how joe dispenza completely healed his spine with his mind, it's the secret behind greats.
no negative self talk at all costs.
this is the key to success and hapiness.
When UV containing sunlight hits the skin or the eyes, it changes the hormonal output in the brain and the hypothalamus releases peptides into the blood stream
“Sun good for vitamin D!” Is so midwit and misses the entire point
The vitamin d aspects of sunlight are the least interesting tbh.
But a lab test focused health/medical focuses on what they can measure, NOT what necessarily matters
So when you take a walk outside between 6:45am and 7:08pm where I live, you are inducing hormonal and peptide changes
And these peptides are more interesting than anything you can inject
There is no “Ray Peat diet.” Ray Peat never created a rigid meal plan or dietary doctrine. He explained biology, metabolism and how context changes nutritional needs. But he did emphasise a few recurring principles, including maintaining a favourable calcium to phosphorus ratio.
Diets heavy in meat, grains and processed foods provide a lot of phosphorus without much calcium, which raise parathyroid hormone (no bueno) and increase calcium loss from bones.
Calcium-rich foods (like milk and cheese) help balance phosphorus and support bone, thyroid and cellular energy metabolism. This is good news!
Drink more milk, anon. More than you have meat and other phosphate heavy foods. Go into debt if you have to. Cafe latte every hour. European summer salads: burrata, feta. Cottage cheese. Greek / Bulgarian yogurt. Babushka cheesecake. Swiss cheese in moderation. Meat can be good, especially when it is gelatinous, but dairy should take central stage in your diet!! 🥛
Aim for 1500mg of calcium a day in your diet. Sometimes you might want to suplement with things like calcium carbonate, eggshell calcium or pearl powder.
Beauty is objective, ugliness is a moral failure, if ugliness does not make you sick you have no soul. There is no moral good without physical good, beauty is moral, ugliness is immoral. Beautiful people are virtuous because they are beautiful like works of art. Ugliness is evil.
Lactoferrin dropped 14.6 cm² of VISCERAL FAT in 8 weeks. The placebo group GAINED weight.
No diet change. No exercise change. One protein.
Here’s what lactoferrin does:
- Rewires how your body stores fat
- Binds free iron that feeds harmful gut bacteria
- Strengthens the gut barrier
- Reduces the inflammation that drives visceral fat storage
It’s a protein found in breast milk. Your body was built on it from day one. Then your supply was cut off — and your visceral fat has been building ever since.
The problem? Pasteurization destroys it. Store-bought milk has almost none left.
That stubborn belly fat isn’t a willpower problem. It’s a protein deficiency you’ve had since you stopped breastfeeding.
My favorite sources:
- Raw milk — the whole food source, the way your body first received it
- Colostrum — the highest natural concentration of lactoferrin available
- Enteric-coated supplement — the form used in clinical trials, survives stomach acid intact
