@paytondev@___Harald___ Seeing an object from twice as far away is helpful, except for the fact the car can't act on that information without knowing whether it's in your lane or not (think around curves, intersections, any scenario that isn't straight line). Lidar is severely dependent on camera data.
@paytondev@___Harald___ Fair point that lidar helps in those cases. Camera visibility is still the "weakest link in the chain" even in a Lidar + radar system. You kinda need lane lines to properly drive, and no other sensor can accurately detect them :)
