Paros'ta başlayan ve oradan Naksos'a, Korfu'ya, Halkidiki'ye sıçradıktan sonra ülke geneline yayılan ve yerel halkın her bölgede sadece saatler içerisinde binlerce imza toplaması sonucu plajlardaki işletmeleri zor durumda bırakan, şezlongları bir gecede apar topar toplamalarına sebep olan "Havlu Hareketi" hükümeti de harekete geçirdi.

Ağustos ayında, tatil sezonu bitmeden daha çok kontrolün yapılması ve birçok işletmenin cezalandırılması beklenirken, Maliye Bakanı Kostis Hatzidakis, tetiği kimseye teslim etmeyeceklerini ve kimseye cezalarda indirim yapmayacaklarını belirtti.

Anayasaya göre;

Tüm plajlar halka açık olup , vatandaşların denize dikey ve paralel olarak ücretsiz girişine izin verilmelidir,

Organize plajlarda diğer yüzücüler için de boş alan sağlanmalıdır,

Kıyı şeridinden itibaren en az beş metre genişliğinde bir serbest bölge bulunmalıdır,

Şemsiye, şezlong ve deniz eğlence ekipmanları, işletmeye tahsis edilen alanın %60'ından fazlasını ve plajın toplam alanının %30'undan fazlasını kaplayamaz.

Will Turkey’s electorate vote on a liberal vs. non-liberal axis? No way. Still, the most anti-liberal (socialist) parties are part of the opposition. So, why should we care about an irrelevant intra-Western academic debate by MacIntyre, et al’s while analyzing our country?

@bharunkucuk Moreover, there is a concerning tendency to conflate Turkey's post-imperial experience with postcolonial and subaltern discourses, which can position Turkish efforts for reform and change as if they are not native to Turkey.
