🇮🇳🇮🇱 India has spent a decade becoming the world's most sophisticated geopolitical balancer.

The Iran conflict just showed exactly where that strategy breaks.

Modi was literally in Tel Aviv when the war started. Nobody briefed him. That's not a small thing for a country that runs Chabahar port on Iran's coast, has 10 million workers sending remittances home from Gulf states, and routes 90% of its LNG through the Strait of Hormuz.

When the Strait got hot, LPG prices inside India spiked hard. Black market cooking gas cylinders hit 4,000 rupees. Regular Indians felt it immediately.

But the bigger geopolitical hit was this: Pakistan, the country India spent 20 years isolating on the world stage, became the primary US-Iran mediator.

One conflict. Pakistan goes from pariah to power broker. India goes from indispensable partner to surprised observer.

The strategy itself isn't broken. India is still what one analyst called "a geopolitical entrepreneur, able to balance all the opposing factors and maintain diplomatic relations with each of them." No other country of India's size pulls that off at scale.

But balancing works best when your partners don't go to war with each other. The moment they do, every side starts asking where you actually stand.

India doesn't have a clean answer to that question. And now everyone knows it.

Paid Rs 200,000 just to get a phone PTA-approved. It is nothing short of absurd and an injustice to the people. How is a basic everyday necessity treated like a luxury? If anything, the government should make technology more accessible, not put up barriers that hinder digital inclusion.

We always gave the Indian Army the benefit of the doubt as a professional force despite deep hostility. But people like @majorgauravarya expose a far uglier reality. When an officer openly pushes genocidal rhetoric, it’s not just an individual failure, it reflects a dangerous rot within the institution itself.

Major Gaurav Arya is a disgrace to any uniform he has worn, and frankly, he should be banned from national TV for spreading such toxic, irresponsible views.

Shame on the Indian Armed Forces for producing, tolerating, and amplifying figures like him.

It is both amusing and deeply regrettable to see Indian media reacting to the “Islamabad Talks” with such visible jealousy and hostility. Instead of acknowledging a diplomatic effort that helped secure a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, they have chosen bitterness over wisdom. The reality is that these talks did not serve Pakistan alone; they helped avert a crisis that could have pushed millions across the region, including in India and the wider Global South, toward unemployment, deeper poverty, soaring fuel prices, high inflation, and even a global recession.
If some in India prefer to remain trapped in a self-created Bollywood fantasy, that is their choice. But the real world operates on diplomacy, responsibility, and results and the world is recognizing Pakistan’s constructive role. Pakistan neither seeks nor needs India’s endorsement. We witnessed similar immaturity during Operation Sindhoor. It is unfortunate that a country seven times larger than Pakistan still appears unable to free itself from a persistent Pakistan fixation.

India’s whole “diplomacy” is pretty simple: the moment any country has even a small issue with Pakistan, they jump in. They did it in Afghanistan, and now they are doing the same with the UAE. Right on time, Mr. Laser Eyes @DrSJaishankar shows up. Their whole playbook is around Pakistan.

Honestly, it just feels like cheap, opportunistic diplomacy.

Honestly, his downfall feels like a result of his own anger and ego. I’ve known him and his family, and he kept switching channels like people switch cars, mostly because he couldn’t get along with management. He also wasn’t great with his staff and co-actors, often being pretty rude.
