It is good to see Pakistan making an effort to transition from being a sponsor of cross-border terrorism to becoming a peace broker. If the peace deal between Iran and the US-Israel bloc holds, Pakistan deserves some credit for brokering peace between the two warring sides. However, without peace with India and Afghanistan, Pakistan will remain in a self-destructive mode in the long run. Islamabad therefore needs to simultaneously move away from its anti-India approach and make an equally sincere effort to make peace with New Delhi. And the only path to that is for Pakistan to make peace with itself, its own Indian roots, history, heritage, and culture.
