I have a rental car I need to return today in Las Vegas. @Budget just sent me a text saying "Budget: Significant flight cancellations at LAS airport. Check with your airline for details. To extend or change your car rental call.." But it's not true! Where's the evidence of this?
@RpsAgainstTrump You speak truth to power and this is what happens. Has a 60 Minutes correspondent ever been fired? All because the truth was considered rude.
I'll be rooting for the Spurs in the upcoming NBA Finals. But let's not forget who helped the Knicks win their last title back in 1999. None other than former UNLV Rebel star, Larry Johnson, a Las Vegas legend. @LasVegasLocally
A short homily from @GustavoArellano on how Jesus treats people living on the margins if I've ever seen one. Take a read this weekend before heading to church... https://t.co/jsTuIle3Sg
@EWErickson@EWErickson … where did this tendency to connect politics to faith begin? Maybe that is the genesis of the faith in politics problems. Maybe it is those folks who need to clean up their mess…
@KevinJFoley2@EWErickson The question is @KevinJFoley2 why is he doing this? Is it for the larger good of America or to get your votes or msybe to get you to look away when he does the horrible stuff. Sure, he’s done some good, as all presidents do. But at what cost to our faith?
I went to @Lowes today to pay my bill. Imagine my surprise when I was told they do not accept Cashier’s Checks. The store told me to call @synchrony Bank. Which I did. The bank told me to call Lowe’s. Great customer service fail for someone who just wants to pay his bill! 💵🤷♂️
@Lowes Really! I came in to my over 6k account with a check from my bank. And you don’t accept them? The amount is too large for a debit. Are you saying I need to bring CASH?
This article ran originally in the @latimes. The RJ in Las Vegas then picked it up. But why not run it with a Vegas perspective. There are still ppl here who were part of the opening of CKE back in 1979. That's part of the story. https://t.co/PEKDWy79j5 via @reviewjournal
Look, this should not be hard and needn't be expensive. Well care, annual physicals, etc is a good place to start. Work to prevent rather than waiting for probs to present. But that takes investment not just in $$, but ppl too. There's just so much there.
@el_reportero@CheriDiNovo There's more. In the areas I serve there is a huge distrust of government. And the doctors who work for them. How will any federal/state program surmount this prob? How will govt convince ppl after years of empty and useless health clinics they really care?

@el_reportero@CheriDiNovo As someone who helps provides basic access to medical care in many marginalized communities in Oaxaca, I’ll be pleasantly surprised if this initiative makes us obsolete. But I’m not holding my breath. There’s just not enough $$$ or doctors to make this work and be affordable.
@profyancey What happened to the denomination that was born out of a desire to support slavery? Like many old folks suffering from dementia, the filters are gone. Long buried and beliefs and desires are being illuminated. We’re now seeing who they really are. It ain’t pretty.
