A quiet milestone, but a meaningful one—grateful to be officially registered with the Architects Registration Board.

This journey has been shaped by the guidance of my mentor, Arch.Richard Turyahabwe, whose depth of experience and commitment to thorough and thoughtful architecture have left a lasting imprint on how I see and approach design.

Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of working on projects that sit at very different scales of impact—from the careful restoration of Virika Cathedral, where history and craftsmanship had to be respected at every step, to the Uganda Prisons Service’s Rwimi and Lugore grain facilities, where design meets infrastructure and purpose in its most practical form.

These experiences have refined my interest in architecture that is both grounded & expressive.

@KanyemibwaSusan has been an Executive Director and Secretary to the Board of the @BOU_Official since 2015.

She has been a member of the @DPFUganda since March 2022, representing the Governor of the Bank of Uganda. She served as the Director for Board Affairs at the Central Bank from 2011 to 2015, the Assistant Director for Board Affairs from July 2009 to 2011, and the Senior Principal Banking Officer in the Legal Department of the Bank of Uganda from September 2004 to June 2009.

Before joining the @BOU_Official, Ms Kanyemibwa served as a Company Secretary/Head of Legal at Monitor Publications Limited from January 1998 to July 2004.

She is a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute of UK & Ireland [formerly the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (UK)], an enrolled Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and other Courts of Judicature and represented the Bank of Uganda as a Council Member of @ICGU256.

She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from @HeriotWattUni, Edinburgh Business School; a Graduate Fellow of The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland; a Master of Laws Degree from @Makerere; a Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from @LDC_Uganda; and a Bachelor of Laws Degree, from @Makerere, Kampala. She also holds several short-term training Certificates in various disciplines.
