This is far more about algorithms that incentivise and promote toxicity and conflict this the nuance and proportion is ripped out of all perspectives. Highly visible eoke-scolding and toxic masculinity are symptoms, not causes.

@waitbutwhy Tim, it wasn't for "offending minorities", it was for inciting violence including attempting to burn down a hotel full of families. The govt post was shared in the wake of online misinformation spread on this very platform by the people who will be cheering you on here.

@dylanwiliam I've not seen them, but if the AI can't use Equation Editor then it might do this with the intention of the user then selecting the text and putting it in equation editor as that syntax creates the superscript. I agree it seems odd to leave it that way.

@ukteacher1980 In-school subject comparisons aren't always helpful. Better to look at FFT targets and see if there's a big issue there with cohorts. Make long-term curriculum development your priority and get someone on the Secondary Mastery Specialist training

As actual policy I can't think anyone with any sense would want a one-size-fits -all agenda; quite the opposite. They said "in some form", not specifying a particular course or approach.

@suemp19hba @MarcusduSautoy @jimalkhalili In the spirit of compete fairness, the Core Maths qualification which offers a highly accessible and practical approach post-16 was a Gove/Truss policy and it's great. Overshadowed by the entire rest of their political careers though!

@suemp19hba @MarcusduSautoy @jimalkhalili It could be 1 hour per week on Maths in Context (taxes and data as found in the media). I agree that recruitment and retention of teachers is an issue, but RS didn't indicate the scale in any way.

It could be simply helping people understand how money works so their agent and manager don't rip them off or fiddle their taxes.
