It needs to be said…
This is not just a sickness of the mind.
It is also a sickness of the Spirit.
Donald Trump needs Jesus.
And we need every person who loves Jesus to stop acting like this is okay.
It’s not okay. It is sinful, deranged, and very unChristlike.
Follow Christ. Not Trump.
Jesus...
Avoided original sin by His incarnation.
Resisted temptations to sin during His life.
Defeated condemning sin by His death.
Overcame sin's power by His resurrection.
Subdues our abiding sin by His intercession.
Will destroy all sin when He returns.
Praise Jesus.
“As there is no sin too small to deserve damnation, so there is no sin so great that it can bring damnation upon those who truly repent.”
—Westminster Confession
Happy Lord’s Day!
@2D0XPS Hi Daniel, I totally agree places like Hebrews command meeting, but just reflecting, does anywhere command meeting on a Sunday morning specifically? Not trying to be picky.
@holydisrupter As a Father of 2 vicarage kids. I don't think it's the Dioceses role at all. That's my job & our church's job. They see parents who love Jesus, a Church alive & people coming to faith, we pray for them lots & are grateful atm they are going after Jesus. I know this could change.
@liambeadle I think there is something in things being "good enough", I've been in many churches where things were cringey and a distraction to worship. I don't think improving inevitably leads to growth, but I do think poorly led services can hinder growth.
@AJWTheology I've often thought about when the crowds say, "Saul has slain his thousands and David his ten thousands" is actually exactly what a good leader wants to hear.
It's hard to watch people exceed what we've done in ministry, but it's actually a metric of success.
