@NoelDolphin@Captain_Deltic@Adam1701D Hello Noel, do you have any figures on what the money gets spent on? Can be for an average or anonymised project?
@wbarter54@MichaelDnes1 Agreed! That's why I want to know about building it cheaper. I suspect the rumours about Burnham resurrecting 2a/WL if he is PM have some foundation so it's good to have a plan on the shelf.
@MichaelDnes1@DuncanStott We need a chat some time Michael. As you might expect I have a file on the subject. You know where to find me, I haven't moved!
@RPMarks So sorry to hear this. Difficult times for you both. You feel pressure to stay strong, but you need support too. It's OK to be vulnerable, reach out to those who care.
@DadOfAubrey@Channel4 Request an internal review. Under FOIA that has to be done by an independent senior manager within 20 working days. If they don't comply, escalate to Information Commissioner's Office who can overrule them and compel release of the information.
@dave_mcpartlin Don't be disheartened. To get a letter this detailed on a departmental policy issue direct from PM (rather than delegated to relevant minister) is very unusual. Officials in DEFRA will be running round like headless chickens to make sure it gets sorted so No10 stay off their back
@EngFocus@DavidShirres Exactly! Keep trying to get that message across. The conventional intercity map of the WCML looks very sparse once HS2 Config State F is reached: 1x EUS-BHM-GLC/EDB, another BHM, 1x CTR/HHD...and that's it!
@pinstripedline@Sandbagger_01 No Time for Assurance - Bond struggles to get Finance, Legal, Commercial and SpAd clearance for his board paper in time for the submission deadline.
@AndyRoden1 Whatever you do, don't get a newer Citroen with a Puretech engine. I had a 2018 C3, wet belt disintegrated, £5k worth of damage. Looking online, this is a frequent occurrence with Citroen, Peugot and Vauxhall engines of that generation.
