Not really undercut. I'm fine if they cost the same, my intention is to learn/have fun from the process. I think online cell prices seem to be higher due to delivery complications. I see prices from 2.5K to 4.5K for same brand, capacity and grade. So I'm a bit confused. At 4.5K it costs more to build than to buy a whole pack off of Amazon.

It is a recent addition. Bought on a sale for 56k now it is 90k+ ☹️ Under moderate loads (300-400w) I get 2-3 hours. But under heavy loads (900w+) the switch over time during a power transition is slightly high and pc shuts down. 3D printer continues to operate. Newer Delta 3 series doesn’t have this issue afaik.

Heres the rack that holds last two years of my curiosity investments. Up top my “ai pc” dual 3090 dual xeon 128gb with diy frame and pikvm. Below that Ecoflow Delta acting as UPS for the whole thing. One solar panel is connected to that. A mini PC above it hosts all my self hosted stuff. Then the 3d printer Bambulab H2D with AMS and laser for all the CAD prototyping. On the right under the table is partially assembled frame of the 3d printer I’m designing. Will post more about everything later!

As expected, unfortunately the only bad thing about the new Opus is it's a token-gobbling monster. Uses the most tokens per Intelligence Index task of any model benchmarked.

Laya runs locally on my Mac, Jev runs over an API.

@shantanugoel Medium is also its non-steered path. Low injects system prompt instructions to stop yapping a lot. Xhigh instructs to go as much as into the details. Medium injects nothing. It lets model freely decide how much to think.

Fixed automatic water pump at home. Its cheapo signal wire was bit by rats a day after it was fully rewired. Replaced the cut section with a cat6 cable and routed it through an old gas cylinder hose(it has metal reinforcements inside). Looks good so far but 🤞

Qwen 3.8 27b drafts, edits, refactors, debugs the whole code in its thinking trace and then writes the file in one shot. It is kind of insane but I really don’t like the waiting game. Sometimes I just turn off thinking and dflash2 likes that a lot and gives 200+ tps bursts. 🚀
